I love the effort you put into your videos. I am a 49 yr old man who has grown up a Lions fan. I have seen the good, bad, and ugly that has been the Detroit Lions Football. I want for nothing else than to see our Lions team make and, Lord willing, win the super bowl. But, I am fearful of putting to much into the stats of what has happened in the past.

The defense has played great all year even after Hutch went out they were top 5 in most analytics but you listen to the national pundits you’d think they have the worst defense in the NFL!?! 🤷♂️ There was 3 major injuries that took away that top 5 Defense, it was Alim, C. Davis and Anzalone. Two of those 3 are coming back. They’ll have enough to win the conference. 👍🏻

All the stats sometimes only look good on paper, and we still have to go out there and execute. Unfortunately, injuries dictate our game plan. Regardless, winning or losing will depend on our determination and how hungry we are. The Lions are the hungriest hippos out there.

What I don't understand is how Dan Campbell hasn't won COY yet and how Holmes hasn't won GMOY. It just doesn't make any sense. Campbell won't even get it this year either. Which is straight up robbery. Even if the Lions beat Minnesota and end up winning it all, it'll more than likely still go to Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell. There hasn't ever been a turnaround like the Lions have had since Campbell and Holmes came on board. How quickly they did it makes it even more impressive. Campbell has coached a team who is decimated by injuries, especially starting defense, and still managed to coach the Lions to a 14-2 record (at the time of this post). If the Lions were healthy all year, they would've easily been the second team in history with an undefeated season and championship. Can you imagine a fully healthy roster? It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the league.
@RichHustleКүн бұрын
So technically there wasn't 11 teams that went undefeated on the road for a full season, it was 7 teams, with lions being the 8th .. this stat just happened 11 times. Because you said 49ers 3 times. but thats still an amazing feat tho
@richardh8811Күн бұрын
I'd love for the Lions to win the SB, but I think that game where they lost Alim & CD3 cost them their chance. This analysis is interesting, but doesn't reflect the current trends. Regardless of who they get back on D, their 2 best players & top corner are likely not coming back, & the 2 who may come back probably won't be %100. Even if they can get to the SB, I don't see how they can beat Buffalo, Baltimore, or KC. Big ask for the offense to be absolutely perfect rest of the season. I think this team will be absolutely monstrous next year though. If they had a bit better luck with injuries, no question I think they take it this year, but I really feel like they lost too much on D to get it done.

Love the stats and all the research. Very cool and interesting stuff but you’re talking about some GOATS. Especially when you bring up Montana and Rice. That’s just a different class of legends right there. And Goff is not a top 2 QB. He’s not S tier. That’s Burrow, Mahomes, Lamar, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts. Love Goff and wouldn’t trade him for any of those guys except Burrow. Lol As a Lions fan we have to slow our role. Our defense is decimated. Can we win this game vs the Vikings and get home field through the Playoff, then make the NFC championship game before we start talking crazy like this. Really, any of the NFC teams can make the SB. Washington the Daniels who is a killer, Green Bay, Vikings… PHILLY with that defense. Rams with Puka who we could argue is the best in the game. And honestly, I’m a little worried if we’d have to face Green Bay or Minnesota again. More so GB. Prolly not beating a team 3 times in a row if we’re being real. Especially with our D Line being best up. Jacobs is a BEAST. Our guys aren’t gonna be able to take that man. It’s super hard to beat a team twice let alone a 3rd time. Not trying to be pessimist or cynical either. It’s just so hard to get back the NFC championship game after you just got their healthy. Teams that usually get there have a pretty healthy team. We are not that. Look at the Rams right now. They are one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. Minnesota is healthy. There’s some really healthy teams going into these playoffs. Unfortunately, we’ve had some bad luck in that area. Hope we can overcome it.
