If they can get Analzone, Iffy, and Rakestraw back they can make something work on that defense but they have to play more zone and bent and don’t break like they did last year. Iffy is our best versatile blitzer and we have to get him up to speed quick.

For them to be able to play zone, the front four needs to get home Za’Darius Smith needs to step up, same with other DLinemen If this happens, I’d love to see Cover 3 I think the Lions will continue playing Cover 1/2 man though

Bend and don't break sucks, we suffered for years of that in Detroit and it got us nowhere. You just keep giving up yards until your opponents are in the red zone...and then you have to stop them? Why not try with all you have before they're knocking at the door. I hope the Lions wouldn't revert to this. They have an aggressive style defense, so I don't think they will.

My argument about Montgomery is, even if he's not done for the season, it looks rough. If two doctors are telling him he won't be able to recover, I feel like even if he does try to play or something what will he be at , 40%-50%? And would he risk re-injuring or injuring himself more seriously? I wouldn't think they'd let a player do that in the first place but I just don't know.

Aaron Donald, I think if he wanted to play for the lions. He would need to get a release from the Rams to come back. He must have retired early. Is the only thing I can think of why the Rams still have the rights? To him. Suh is not their type. They would have to be so desperate to want him. Neil, our DT is out completely now. We would think how about now. And there's no talk. I really thought after the Colts game we would have a chance with jj Watt. He did say earlier that he would come back to contender towards the end of the season. He still wants a ring. Detroit fits everything he wanted. It looks like that's a big no for jj Watt. Somewhat unrelated, but wanted your opinion on this: Does Matt Patricia deserve any credit for his draft classes during his tenure? I saw a clip of him and bill belichick praising his selection of Frank Ragnow and that being a foundational reason as to why we have such a great oline. The only other picks I can think of are Hockenson and maybe Ty Johnson (he cooked us the other day) Picks like Okudah and Tavai stand out as disappointing however

Well I will say this they used to be super bowl or bust because they were that good. Now the only way they have a shot of winning is they must be top of thr division and get the home games and one extra week of rest. Even then i think they will get dog walked out of the first round. No defense and well the only way they could win without a defense is they will have to out score there opponent. Yeah thats all well see what happens but i dont have any more believe that they are going to win it all this year.
