The Lions run defense is underrated. If they have their current defensive line of Za’Daruis Smith, DJ Reader, Alim McNeil & Josh Paschal, Saquon Barkley won’t beat the Lions. It will have to be Hurts running and slinging the rock which I don’t think he will do well enough because of how much the Eagles are relying on the run game.

From the Defensive line to the linebackers and even the secondary, the Lions are hyper-focused on the run. Even schematically, the Lions want to stop the run first. The Lions haven’t given up a hundred-yard rusher in at least two years. Comparing the Ravens run defense to the Lions run defense will give you a false security.
