The Bears are definitely on to something. They finished the job today that they should have three weeks ago. If it weren't for two freak leads blown, they could have very well been sitting at 7-6 at this point. Although they still have the potential to end the season at 9-8 with their upcoming schedule. AND they have still have the #1 pick in the draft next year.

I’m very impressed with the play of the defense with Montez Sweat and Yannick Ngakoue getting to the Quarterback. The offense was better, but I’m still not sold on Luke Getsy’s playcalling. The one head scratching play on a toss to Herbert on 4th down was stupid, but this was a satisfying win for the bears

Agree. Eberflus has the defense looking phenomenal, but the offense under Getsky still leaves a lot to be desired. Too predictable with the routes, doesn’t spread the ball enough to Kmet, and has Moore in the weirdest plays. Thank god the Moore-Fields connection is amongst the best in the league. Getsky definitely needs to be let go after this season, bare minimum, and the we need a new center, whether in FA or the draft. Olu and MHJ in the draft would be a good start.

Why? He’s a great cover corner, but the bears mainly play zone so his talent is wasted. That’s why they haven’t paid him already. Dline is much more important for their style of play. That’s why sweat, who is about the same rank at his position let’s say, was acquired for picks AND made one of the highest paid players. As you saw from the previous few years, having a great secondary and no line doesn’t work, but having a great line and average secondary works in zone most of the time

As Lions fan, I can say this has been an exciting season, but sometimes for the wrong reasons. They've excelled at showing they can play two terrible quarters and still come back to win the game. Today, they tried their hand at playing 3 terrible quarters, and it didn't go so well for them. @@erikr1904 i think the defense did a better job with fields but it’s hard to play defense when the offense can’t sustain drives. Look at the 2nd half drives. You can’t expect the defense to not give up more plays when they constantly are on the field. Defense does need to tackle better. If we get guys on the ground it’s a different story but too many missed tackles more so than scheme or coaching. Guys are in position but Bears wanted it more

Wow, a Gadget play by Bears OC Luke Getsy that actually works in the 1st quarter. Don't know why that gadget play isn't used more often. Bears QB Justin Fields had good day as a starter; hopefully he can continue to make improvements to keep his QB job and will be back in a Bears uniform in 2024. A nice upset win for Chicago and a back-to-win , the first for lousy HC Eberflus. I would still fire him at the end of the season for the benefit of the Bears Organization moving forward because... Eberflus will never be good enough manage the Bears to a Super Bowl appearance and victory.

You can’t go 8-8, because they added a game. I believe they can literally go 9-8 and make the playoffs as a 7th seed. If I am a NFC team, I wouldn’t want to see this Bears team in a wild card game. The defense has drastically improved, Fields has gotten better with throwing and decision-making, and the team is on the same page. If all this happens, you cannot draft a QB, so you go ahead and get the greatest receiver in CFB Marvin Harrison Jr.

That’s why my expectations for them are what they are. I think they are a few pieces away on both sides of the ball from being SB contenders.
