Detroit: Mt. Elliot Cemetery. Some sad stories and notable graves

Mt. Elliott Cemetery was consecrated in 1841-just four years after Michigan became the 26th state in the Union. Given its unique place in Detroit’s history, Mt. Elliott serves as the final resting place for both prominent Detroiters and everyday citizens.
I am not a professional filmmaker/editor/public speaker/film location person.
I film using my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I edit using KineMaster.
I just like to share the places I visit and things I learn about people/places along the way.

Beautiful cemetery 👍 it does look like Spring Hill cemetery in many ways, I’ll bet just like Spring Hill it’s on the national register of historic places 👍

The Angel at :53 looks like one in my videos and a short of mine the “cotton Angel” it is called at my local cemetery and I’ve seen only three, yours mine and Kev found one 👍👍

Why did they club and shoot the animals from the fire?

Because they were wild and dangerous animals and people were scared.
