Dalton Knect is better than Reed Shepherd. He does everything that Reed does but is 4 inches taller and more athletic. Reed Shepherd is a below the rim athlete mostly. His athleticism only shows with his hands and blocks. He now especially quick laterally and he's got a very limited handle and he doesn't have wiggle and his first step is average. Now what I will agree with is Reed will come into the league an elite 3pt shooter and secondary playmaker. He is not a lead guard by any means. Knect fits perfectly next to Cade and he has the tools to be a good team defender. I think a lot of his issues came on defense because of his ridiculous offensive load. 22% usage rate if remember correctly. He won't be anywhere near that level in the NBA. So that's why I believe Detroit should draft him over a Reed.

Reed is better from three and on defense while almost four years younger. Knect has massive bust potential.

@@matheusnavesborges2720 my response is to a specific prospect noted. There is no guarantee regardless of age that a prospect reaches their "ceiling". What very rarely gets mentioned is that some guys have already maxed-out talent wise & we won't know for a few years. It will written that the player is a bust or never met the expectations🙊

I'm tired of developing kids here, Dalton could come here and produce immediately. I think he could be like a younger, more bouncy Bojan with better defense. Meanwhile Cody was just too timid in college and had no killer instinct, we don't have time to hope and pray a guy like that figures it out.

@@michaelpowell9152 For one thing he just turned 23. Also, he’s a late bloomer because he grew around 6 inches between his senior year of high school and his first couple of years of college. Most importantly, none of the other prospects who are reportedly to be drafted in the lottery may never reach what Dalton is offensively right now.

@@michaelpowell9152 Also, we’re talking about a guy who was putting up 30-40 point games while being consistently double teamed (against good D1 teams). So it doesn’t matter if he is maxed out offensively. That just means he’s an immediate plug & play player.

Can anyone here explain how the Thompson Twins went 4&5 in last years “generational draft” when they can’t shoot for 💩…BUT, Ron Holland & Stephen Castle who are also long & athletic “just don’t shoot well enough to take at 5?” Make it make sense !

@@BASHirNimry Castle is getting top 5 love now so that helps my sanity, but I’ll take your point. Twins work ethic, character, and wild athleticism sold teams. Something we need to consider is, we need the pistons to draft player that have tough coaches that got on their players. Monty coaching style seemed to break down IVEY and even Asuar. So players with backbone and great skill if Monty is the coach, this needs to be consider more than skill set imo. Because we can draft a potential star that just gets broken down by monty coaching style.

Reed only took 8 FGA per game…most of which were wide open. He’s more than likely going to have a hard time getting his shot off and making it to the rim at the pro level.
