I think you maybe falling in the same trap as some wings fans and other scouts on MBN, yea he is 200ft, but his shot is elite which could make him a complimentary piece on the first line. And in preseason clips in the SHL he seems to be being a play and line driver so far, now if that keeps going then he should be good.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss the players. I think Simon will quickly work into the top four, I just don't think they have anyone other than Chiarot to push him down any further than the second pair.

I always think it’s hard to grade the Wings drafts right after. They’ve made so many picks like Seider, Danielson, Mazur, and ASP that people think are reaches at the time and they end up being REALLY good. I think a lot of people thought Raymond was kind of a reach as well. They’ve all worked out so far.

Thank you, great job. points of disagreement; 1. Soderblom imo is a wash, low compete and slow skater. 2. Danielson may be better than you are giving credit for. I suspect he plays better, the better the players around him are. 3. There is no way Edvisson starts on 3rd pairing, that is laughable knowing how bad our D is. I agree with ASP...he may be the best prospect of all and ceiling is unlimited; reminds me of a potential Paul Coffey.

How’d you not mention Cossa in your prospects? He was the best goalie prospect in the AHL the second half of the season. Better than Wallstedt and Askarov amongst others.

My guess is he is significantly less knowledgeable than he'd like you to believe.

every highlight showed Cossa on his knees when giving up goals. Kinda cancels his height advantage.
@TheAlaskanGrown2 ай бұрын
@@davideggleston1031 that’s not how tall goalies work…at all. The advantage of being tall comes when being down and moving side to side.

I remember when last summer all the media pundits were salivating over Buffalo and Ottawa, only for both of them to regress, then to Detroit only miss the playoffs(on a tie breaker) because Philly decided to pull their goalie in regulation, when they knew full well they weren't going to make the playoffs anyways. Now you're saying *Detroit* is the one that's going to regress?
