The river used to freeze over about 40 years ago .. my family used to own lake point marina I. South Rockwood Michigan. I personally never seen it but I have seen the Huron river freeze over and if seen the mouth of lake Erie and the river freeze.. that would be some scary fishing on the river if it did freeze

Hi from Vancouver are the limits and rules the same on both sides of the border, ? Here in Vancouver our suburbs go right the the border , Washington State But we have different regulations for salmon fishing and rock fish , also crabs , and other shell fish , and shrimps , , Just wondering about your area since you share the Detroit river

Careful there Buck. Like a few past guys have said, each licensed angler can only keep his limit. There is no "boat limit". Plus, not all of those were hooked inside the mouth. Hate to see you get popped.

Ah-ha, looks like you were using a Kicker motor opposed to an electric motor. I was always wondering if; let's say, a 9 h.p. on a 19 ft. boat would be good enough? Or if it would be a challenge to keep lines vertical using the kicker. Is it beneficial to install an electric motor too, or would the 9 h.p. suit me fine? Thanks.

Awesome video! I know pretty much every boat fishes til a limit is reached. However technically I’m pretty sure each person can only catch THEIR limit. Posting a video that shows this may attract unwanted attention from whatever your DNR is called. No judgement from me! We all do it. But putting it out there could come back to haunt you! And if you just think I’m jealous…you are right!!

Canadian Fish and Game has already been notified and no not every boat fishes until their "boat limit" is reached since no such thing exists and most Fishermen actually follow the laws and have real ethics. In truth most REAL Fishermen don't keep "limits" and release more than they keep most days. These men LITERALLY recorded themselves TALKING about how they were "keeping too many fish" which makes them knowing criminals more than Fishermen and I can assure you they will be learning about very valuable lesson from being so fool hardy. What happened here was NOT a "two man limit" it was 1 man keeping way more Fish than he was allowed and the other only catching 3.

Thought I was the only one that caught that. This is what happens when someone is more concerned with creating content for their crappy KZbin channel than they are following the law. Many of these fish were not hooked legally either. Don't worry I've already forwarded this footage to a family member of mine who will review it with his boss and I'm sure will at the very least be paying these gentlemen a visit to help them learn what is and ISNT a legal bag limit and correct hook set.

Way to go recording your friend on camera making the statement "i think we're keeping too many fish" (which HE certainly was) and then POSTING YOUR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY ONTO KZbin GENIUS!!! There is NO SUCH THING as a "2 man limit" , each Fishermen may catch and keep 6 LEGALLY HOOKED fish (which several of those fish were not) EACH. Just because you only caught 3 doesnt mean your buddy gets to keep the other 3 that YOU DIDNT CATCH. Even if other people unethically do this the difference that you so foolishly didnt consider was that YOU WERE RECORDING YOURSELVES THE ENTIRE TIME AND THEN POSTED THE FOOTAGE ONTO A WIDELY VIEWED PUBLIC FORUM LIKE KZbin which is the equivalent of someone recording themselves stealing a car then talking about the fact that they knew they were stealing it and then uploading their video too KZbin because they were more concerned about "clicks and likes" than they were following the rules and being an ethical Fishermen.
