What a cool video. The guy running the tour was impressive on facts he knew about each vehicle. It baffles me to think they were stored in that building. Thanks, Tom and Crew.

That's how broke Detroit is as a municipality. Those cars are just stored in old steel rolling buildings. I hope they are well guarded.

I would be extremely paranoid having them stored in one of those old decrepit buildings. So many transients and general crime in those areas of Detroit. Hope he's got 24 hr guards/surveillance.

What an incredible collection of automotive history. Having lived locally all my life gawking at all the cars at The Henry Ford has always been one of my favorite things and that's on a whole other level. I'd love an opportunity to walk around a place like that sometime and just take it all in. Super cool, thanks Tom.

Only a secret to people who live outside of Detroit. I just wish the Historical Museum could find a way to display these vehicles while maintaining the security needed to protect them. Separately, this gentleman giving the tour is an encyclopedia of KNOWLEDGE! I'll take a tour with him any day of the week.

Tell me you couldn’t imagine that thing having been bought from Graceland as Elvis’ favorite vehicle to just tool around in…yes I know it’s the wrong year to be possible. I was mainly referring to the *_VELOUR GREATNESS_* and being white with dark-a55 tinted windows.

My first car was a 72 hearse. Originally was powder blue and worked in North Carolina. It was white when i bought it and finished life in NJ. Loved that car. The older hearse coach builds were beautiful. Carved wood panels in the coach (body area) ornate detailing. My hearse has a combo. Hearse/ambulance. Had 2 flip up seats in the back.

This is awesome. I literally grew up 4 blocks from Fort Wayne. Used to go there once a year untill they closed. The most ironic part is my father used to work at the Clark street plant up untill the day it closed then transferred to Hamtramck facility. This touched on a lot of childhood memories. Thanks so much Tom.

Hey, fellow Delray resident, Fort Wayne isn't closed. I go to Fort Wayne twice a month to see public events held there. I even get many chances to walk inside the many buildings and officers' homes and look around and take a few open souvenirs from them.

This goofy camera guy needs to focus pointing the camera 📷 on the vehicles and let the camera recorder tape the voice of the presenter. Spent too much video time pointing the camera at the faces and bodies, heads of the people standing around the historical vehicles.

Seeing some of these cars bring back GREAT memories! I worked at Pole Town/Hamtramck in the 1990s and was able to see some of the vehicles that for whatever reason were pulled from the assembly line or end of assembly. Some of them were in that room for over a decade and STILL were factory wrapped like the White Cadillac in the beginning of this video. Glad to see so many cool vehicles still being preserved

We were there two weeks ago and knew this collection was there but didn't know what building they were in. You'd never know looking at the conditions of the old Fort - roofs caving in, trees growing through - the place looks apocalyptic. A shame when you consider Greenfield Village is just a few miles away where historic buildings were brought and reassembled - here's the real thing but its falling down.

Have to say this is why i always feel sad when people say something should be in a museum. That fact is that it means that the item very probably will never go on display and will eventualy be sold too a collector anyway. Museums lock so much fantactic stuff away for so long that it often looses any relivance.

That isn't the only secret Detroit area location where they stored vehicles. This video made me remember sneaking into an underground storage garage in the mid 70's near the Greenfield Village in Dearborn. The location was just off the Henry Ford Museum property. At that time....I wasn't sure if it was a storage facility for Ford or the Museum itself.
