@@pfw4568 Nope, not at all. (And you need to get your facts straight & read some books, educate yourself - you sound racist af - there IS enough money to 'fix' things.) Do something, help others, start being postive. But nope, they just wait for somebody to hand them something - and that will never happen. Just look at all the videos on charlies channel.. Your 'logic' does not work. Lets say: They start dumping MILLIONS into detroits 'destroyed' and 'bad neighbourhoods', they 'rebuild' all the houses that nobody lives in or are rotten to the core, they hand out money to the people. So, what will change? Who will move into these houses/pay for it in the end? Will people be ready to 'work'? Where is 'work' coming from? Who will 'hire' people? People have to open shops, kiosk, mechanics have to open workshops and so on You can't just expect that 'big companys' will suddenly open stores and hand out jobs, in 'Bad' areas - something like that will only happen when a community is 'thriving'.
@pfw45683 жыл бұрын
@@carn1fex_ I don't give a single crap about if i sound racist. Israel could take it into it's own hand to fix it's problems by your logic. Why send them money? sad morons in youtube comments believe people must be loaded with cash if they even have the bare essentials of modern life. If they'd been standing on the side of the road butt naked you'd still have been like "Well, dude can sell an organ! defo not really poor". How the fuck does this even makes sense as a general explanation of Detroits degradation? Do you suppose people just - over the years - suffered from extreme laziness in a geographically, clearly demarcated area exactly corresponding to Detroit? Thats basically what you're saying if you choose to believe they're just "lazy". People like you will go to any extent to suck up to the government and corporations and instead blame every single individual for the structural problems inherent in capitalism. The real - and non idiotic, rational - explanation for this is deindustrialization caused by international competition; international capitalism impels business to exploit the cheapest possible labour with the fewest possible worker's rights. These people are in China (initially, now corporations are moving to even lower wage areas like Bangladesh) and so corporations move away from America's classic industrial centres. The consequence of global capitalism is deindustrialization and an internationalization of competition between workers that adopts the standards of the lowest paid, common denominators... But suuure .. Blame "laziness" LOL .. The ignorance on how the economy works is astounding.

Damyam y’all....we got to break this cycle! I’m from Detroit but thank GOD I left in 1990! This is no way to live! No future!

You know if some contractors got some work through the banks that probably own those homes it would probably bring a lot of work to this shit hole and bring some much needed jobs I'd think... Idk it's just sad to see this 50 years ago these were beautiful prospering neighborhoods

A lot of those houses are huge compared to what you'd get in other major city suburbs, and decent looking (other than being run down and neglected). Why are they all left abandoned and run down?? I see so much potential

Nearly all empty houses have their windows locked up with playwood. Was it the owners that planned to maybe come back one day or why did they even bother..?
@Electricdreams215 жыл бұрын
Probably the banks after reclaiming them
@PeakBagger9995 жыл бұрын
The banks probably repossessed the homes and had contractors board up the windows and doors to prevent squatters from occupying them.

Oftentimes it's abandoned property and the city comes back in and "seals" it by putting plywood over the doors and windows to keep people out. A lot of these properties people just walk away from.

Ольга, привет 😌 Я кое что знал, но этот канал меня вскрывает. Я хорошо отношусь к простым американцам, я просто против того что бы какую то страну провозглашаться Раем на земле, тем более США. Здесь есть русскоязычные, но нас не много.

@MikeS-ei4pi5 жыл бұрын
It didn't start out ghetto that's why. I'm from around here and anyone will give you 200 different reasons why detroit fell into what it is now, but no bs its finally starting to get better. We have a good mayor now
@luthervaughn15 жыл бұрын
@@MikeS-ei4pi Detroit was built on the auto-industry. That's why it was a PRETTY FUCKING BIG awesome wealthy middle class city. I hate when I see Trump fighting for our companies to move back to these cities, and people saying he's a chump. Hell fuck.....no. 'Cause wouldn't you like to see Detroit like it used to be? Fuck other countries, fight for ours first, and hold billion dollar companies accountable for moving overseas for cheaper labor. We have that possibility to get it started again. Please don't fall into the trap to continue this onslaught to our American Middle Class. All love.
my ancestors came up to detroit from Tennessee for work and moved back to tennessee but came back up here and stayed for good because life here is fine really compared to the south. In the south there is a lot of poverty and racism and antebellum pride that may never leave. It's hard to find jobs in the south like it is in the detroit area. More than half of the population here of any race came here from the south. Detroit was spectacular in ways the south could never be. To this day detroit is a vacation destination of everyone from the south which sounds weird but believe me the license plates are here. Sure our sports are absolutely horrible here and it's dangerous sometimes but so is the entire south. literally! I'd rather be up here, than say Alabama or Texas. Cheap living up here too. You can get a wonderful house for a steal just because people are scared of detroit and dont believe in the rebound that's happening. It's kinda beautiful really.
@joeporonto33245 жыл бұрын
MedicatedMikey 420 the reason Detroit fell is because all the white people sold their homes and left Detroit. The economy in detroit fell blacks moved in for cheap and thats how it went.
