As a lifelong Viking fan I have to congratulate the Detroit Lions on their big win last night. The Lions got off to a slow start but, even with a really depleted team, you still whipped our arse. It's over for the Vikes as the Lions took all of the starch out of them. So ride the wave all the way to the SB and bring the Lombardi back to the Central Division (yes I know). After waiting all these years for it to happen, this year looks real for you guys. A hearty SKOL to you all.........

When I was a younger kid, I was secretly a big fan of the Vikings (think Randy Moss era) since the Lions were terrible for so long. So on my end, I have absolutely no hatred towards the Vikings like some Lions fans. Thank you for your words as an opposing fan, it really does mean a lot to us. I was mentioning to my brother but as much as it would have been okay if we ended up losing, but this win is just the final capstone on what I consider effectively a perfect season (two losses aside) for the Lions. In my lifelong history as a Lions fan, this by far the most 'complete' Lions team (staff & coaches in addition to the players) I have ever seen in my entire life. It feels SO good to finally have a team that has literally rallied our entire state together (I've had so many lovely conversations with random Lions fans this year compared to the typical one-sentence 'did you see that crappy loss last night?'). I think the Dan Campbell squad has truly affected the culture of our state and I for one am just so happy to have a team to finally feel PROUD to root for!

I don’t really think people outside of Michigan reeeeally understand just how difficult it was for Dan Campbell to break what I call the Culture of Losing that saturated the Detroit Lions franchise… I mean, it’s easy to imagine it, but there just was this deer-in-the-headlights look that would come over almost every player on the sideline when things would start to go wrong after things were looking good before; hell, everyone in the stadium knew what was happening to the “Same Ol’ Lions”. Two of the greatest football players of all-time, Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson, both retired in their prime because they were locked into said Culture of Losing and knew what was in the cards for the rest of their careers…. It takes someone special, someone like Dan Campbell, to break something like that.

I never had a doubt their defense would be ready... the media was overcompensating for the vikings to make it seem like they had more of a chance than they did. Ready To Roll to the Super Bowl 🏈 💙

Martha Firestone Ford was in attendance. She is 99 yrs old w/ her 73 yr old Daughter Sheila who owns the team since Mom handed her reins five years ago. Every post home game. They are both in the locker room. That's beyond unreal at her age.

Gibbs joins another legend who also scored 4 TD's in one game. That legend is Polk High's #33 Al Bundy.

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that this game would be for the 1st seed between two 14-2 teams? Incredible season for both. Go Lions!
