Casters we’re acting like it was a drop! Was like they weren’t even watching the replay. Spectacular defensive play. Our defense is different this year. I loved what we saw!

I think most people still think Moore just dropped it. I even heard some national goon say CJ had a bad game. CJ just barely got his hand in and poked the ball right out of Moore’s hands. If they aren’t already, the Lions need to start negotiating an extension with him immediately.

He's never been as good as many Lions fans think he is, and he's not likely to ever achieve his potential, being that he's already 29 and coming off an injury that is difficult to come back from. His salary cap hit can go to CJGJ. I'm cool with it. Then, the Lions need to work on Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch when they're due. Draft Sutton's eventual replacement in the next year or two. If they do this, they'll be set for a good while in the secondary.

Did anyone happen to see each of the Chiefs front line talking to, congratulating, giving encouragement to Hutchinson who on his own, kept Mahomes on his back feet the whole game. Never got him but man, he was on his 6 the entire game. So cool to watch Danna giving his long props after the final whistle.

@andrewvanleeuwen5742 So true. Reynolds stepped up and was a good threat, and so did Kalif. But Goff needs a deep threat to take the top off any good defence. And the Chiefs have a good offense. If Jamo had played, those DB's and safeties would have had to play at least another 5 yards back which would have opened up the field much more for La Porta and Amon to take some easy 10-15 yard dunk passes. The Lions offense played good, but not great. I can only imagine what hey are going to look like against teams with crappy D's.

I almost can't believe what I saw. Lions had a few instances where they could've folded like usual..but just kept grinding. This squad has a different feel and mindset. Don't care KC was missing 2 dudes. Playing the Champs at their house on national tv is a tall order. Im so very proud of them.🏈🦁🔥

I was a kid the last time the Lions were relevant in 1991. Biggest game I've watched them play and biggest victory since they demolished the Cowboys in the 1st round of the '91 playoffs. Hats off to MCDC, Holmes and Co. for making us believers again!

Oh man, I remember that game. It was the day I became a Lions fan. I was five years old. I remember my uncle going on and on about how the Cowboys were so great and going to stomp their way to the Super Bowl, then Detroit pasted them, pissing my uncle off in the process. From that day on, I was a Lions fan, mostly because I hated the Cowboys and to piss my uncle off, lol.

I mean, I get what you're saying, as the 11-5 season when their defense was ranked number 1 in scoring defense for most of the season up until the final week when Seattle leapfrogged them, pushing them to second, the Lions were decent. They got hosed, and everyone knows it, in that playoff game against Dallas. But one good year does not make a team relevant.

I get we made some mistakes but even with the best teams out there. Always room for improvement. But I've been saying the past 3 seasons. The lions are becoming dangerous and have been playing well. I'm a steelers fan but always always had a soft spot for the lions and always rooted for them alongside my steelers. I think both teams are super bowl bound. At least playoff bound.

As much as a lot of Chiefs fans are going to want to say that Branch's pick was "a gift" or "a gimme," even if Toney caught that ball, Branch was on angle and was ready to drop the hit stick on him. Branch actually reacted incredibly to that ball, and that not something any DB in the NFL would have been able to do with anything resembling reliability.

Raymond ran wild in the secondary in this game and Goff almost never looked his way... hopefully they highlight that in the game film and reflect on the fact that Raymond was #1 in the ENTIRE league last year in separation on his routes... that kid knows something about how to shake DB's, and we need to use that to our advantage, esp while we wait for Jamo to return (again).

Born in Pontiac and raised in Waterford/Pontiac/and Eastpointe so I’m Michigan through and through, played hockey for 16 years and set records as a right winger so I had my Red Wings growing up in the mid to late 90s and the 2002 and 2008 wins but I’ve always been a Lion fan as well. Too many Michiganders switching up in this state it’s crazy. Some of us literally get made fun of for staying a lions fan. I have a brand new lions hoodie that I haven’t worn yet but even if it’s warm tomorrow I’m rocking it. I didn’t even know they were opening the season tonight I found out from a coworker (who is a Chiefs fan and bet a few other guys and lost like $200 on this game) and yea, we know it’s just one game but it’s literally the Chiefs…super bowl champs..in their house so the win is big for us. I always follow the season and can’t wait to see if we can finally make it beyond one game in the playoffs. And possibly win the division. Used to be worried about the Packers and Vikings, now it’s time for the Lions and Bears to battle it out!!

Dang the Chicago Bears and Poles gave up a excellent running back David Montgomery, team player, versatile RB player who will do anything to get the win for the team. Montgomery saved the day and got the last touchdown to seal their 1at season game for the Lions. The Lions fans I feel will see lots of passes from Goff to Montgomery to get the ball down the field to the end zone plays. He is a reliable, huge team player with a huge fight in him to win for the team. Miss him Chicago and Poles? Congrats to see Montgomery succeed with his new team. He is a great player deserves lots of credit for getting the win over KC which he knows the rivalry in the NFL that everyone wants to beat KC chiefs and time for new teams to get the media talks over KC. This was a great win for Lions and Montgomery.
