I feel that. My grandpa died a few months before the Chicago cubs went on to win the MLB chip in 16. I hate baseball, but me and my mom (his daughter) watched them come back from down 3-1 in the series, and tbh it was magical cuz grandpa loved every Chicago team and never got to see them achieve anything.

My dear departed mother, MJ, was a proud daughter of St. Clair Shores, Michigan and she was by far the biggest sports fan in the family. It was the Tigers and the Lions all the way (Red Wings too). My dad was military but no matter where we lived in the states, come Thanksgiving Day the Lions game would be playing on the TV in our house. I really wish she were here to see this. This team is phenomenal.
