@@Detrucci They did a public bassist audition in the first half of 2022 with hundreds of bassists, you'll find videos of it and the "Digest" all over KZbin. After the founding bassist had gone, they found Fami (then 20yo, with almost 700K KZbin followers) as a perfect addition to a revitalized LOVEBITES 2.0 (for almost 2 years now). I've seen them in Europe on their 2024 world tour, that will conclude with Tokyo (Sep 1), Atlanta GA (Sep 6), Dallax TX (Sep 8), LA CA (Sep 10) and SF CA (Sep 12). The first one being in Tokyo Garden Theater with up to 8000 seats as their main event, just 4 days after the release of a new EP and their third 2023 live album (the first two being "Knockin At Heaven's Gate I+II" as an introduction to Fami, while this one "Memorial For The Warrior Souls" is based on that Feb 2023 album "Judgement Day"). Fami's ever smiling influence has definitely energized the other four, they are better than ever now!

Welcome back to Lovebites ! This band has a current catalogues of around 60 original songs and they're all sung 100% in English (except for 1 track). Their previous bassist, Miho, left in 2021 and this is their new bass player, Fami, who joined in 2022. Lovebites have a new EP "Lovebites EP II" and a new LIVE album "Memorial for the Warrior Souls" about to be released on the same day this month on August 28. You're right about the bassist. Miho left for personal reasons in 2021. Because of Covid they lost a lot of overseas concerts that were planned. Miho's father died and she needed some personal space to deal with it. (she bought a motorcycle and toured across Japan for about a year). The band went on hiatus, Asami and Miyako (blk haired guitarist) had babies. After auditions they added base phenom Fami, who was only 20yo at the time. She has infused them with her youthful energy and they have come back better than ever. Since you left, then have produced a new CD and 2 DVDs. Another DVD and a new EP will be dropped on August 28th. There are live songs from all of the DVDs available. I'm seeing them in Dallas on September 8th :0)

They have one song, that even predates LOVEBITES (Haruna, "Bravehearted"), that is sung in Japanese (on their debut EP, which was initially a demo tape), that was rewritten to an English version on their debut LP "Awakening From Abyss" (2017). While I prefer their choice to sing everything in English, that Japanese version of "Bravehearted" is really good!

They recruited the young bass prodigy Fami to the band and are on the way to hit the U.S. for the 1st time! They were on tour in Europe this summer (Uk,France,Spain,Italy,Belgium,Germany,Denmark) took a little detour in South Korea and now heading to the States for a few shows! As others mentioned they have a new ep and live DVD out in aug 28th so you better get up to speed if you can! 😂

It's sad, that he had that hiatus, but this is the perfect moment to reenter the LOVEBITES train, as it is in full throttle! First new LP got a tour and a live album (Aug 28th, 2024), new EP as well, running world tour up to September, biggest indoor concert coming (Sep 1st, 2024). New OMVs and official live videos in the pipeline, e.g. "Soldier Stands Solitarily" (live 2023) from two days ago.

That's a false statement. You can praise Fami without belittling Miho! Both Miho and Fami are top tier bassists, no need to compare them, that would be a failure! And what Miho brought to the LOVEBITES table, is essential. Without Miho no LOVEBITES. And we both know, what Fami brings for LOVEBITES 2.0 next to her undeniable skills...
