I've been saying this for years, it's literally the best version of Bydlo out there (imo). Refreshing to see someone else notice how particularly good Horowitz's version is.

Насчёт лучший спорно. Есть много великих, но вот то, что Хоровиц реально божит на пианино,и таких мы нескоро увидим(если вообще увидим),это факт

Horowitz was the first pianist to display an exhibition picture at the performance venue. He plays an arrangement version of Ravel, omitting some promenades. The reason is simple. It was diversified by omitting it. Easy to understand for Western audiences. There is no need to mess with the original song. However, even his friend Rimsky Korsakov arranges the night of Ulsan and few conductors play the original music.

Will people PLEASE stop referring to piano pieces as "songs" ?! This is what the pop music culture does to people's brains. A song involves the human voice.

@@josephhapp9 We also have quite a few Liszt transcriptions of Schubert songs. They are piano pieces, too.
