+Matthew Narukami one was a PG which he couldn't use and he burned through the rest on that guard. He only had 2 10k in hand from his previous drive check and then he intercepted with both of his G2s which would only be 3 to pass. Since Ryuzu stacked the deck with the controlled Draw trigger at the start he knew what he would hit anyway so Ibuki was 5k short on that turn especially considering how much he had to commit to blocking Rebellion's 49k/2crit attack on the prior turn as he lacked a PG

If he wasn't arrogant, he wouldn't be doing his job as main antagonist, now would he? He is truly and utterly convinced his way of thinking is best for mankind, so he also obviously does not think he can lose right now... Its a bit like how Ren was arrogant, because he was always convinced nobody could ever beat him in a game of Vanguard since he could predict and alter the outcome every time he fought...

Oh, the irony. The beautiful irony. He would have won with a Deletor deck because of this card cardfight.wikia.com/wiki/Original_Deletor,_Egorg that have the instant win condition of 13 card or more in the opponent bind zone. Messiah lost where Deletor would win.

if bushiroad actually create a G-Unit with this effect then im gonna quit Vanguard GB2 Counterblast 2 Soulblast 2 turn a face down card of ???? face up then if the number of ur rearguard is 2 or more you may pay the cost if you do u may retire 2 of ur own rearguard then ur opponent puts 2 of his rearguard into his bindzone face up then this card gets Crit+1 , if this unit attack did not hit then this unit gets GB3 Counterblast 1 and retire 1 of ur own rearguard if you pay the cost then stand this unit and this unit gets power +10k for each face up cards in ur opponent's bindzone and if your opponent's bindzone has 2 or more face up card this unit gets Critical+1 and Drive+1 and ur opponent cannot call grade 1 or lower (cant guard with Kanzen and Generation) from their hand to guard. so that means it can attack twice if the first attack did not go through and it can check 7 times total

here's something I don't get he went out of his way to omega lock ryuzu's rear guards in exchange for a drastic loss of power in his vanguard on either of the turns before Excelics Messiah I would strided Amnesty Messiah to make up for the power you give up for Flageolet Messiah plus he wouldn't have had to counter blast for Excelics Messiah all around he would've logically won if he chose to stride Amnesty Messiah instead of the second Flageolet Messiah
