I discovered Deus Ex Machina in 1996. They were on the Vander graf tribute " Eyewitness " and they covered the song "Flood." They WERE the FLOOD. Singer Alberto Piras sang in flawless English Still a fan from 27 years ago!

These guys are like a mashup of Gentle Giant, Frank Zappa and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. I saw them blow the doors off an unsuspecting audience at Nearfest 2000.

I heard this group for the first time back in 1995. I have never found similar genre. This guys are amazing. So sorry that Italians have abandoned Prog rock as it were in the 70's
