A Criminal Past would have hurt the pacing of the main game and the story, so that's the only one I would say is appropriate as a side story. But the others I can absolutely see incorporated into the main game like The Missing Link into DX:HR Director's Cut, provided there were small narrative tweaks like that game.

Pritchard and Sharif geniunely care about Jensen and could be considered as his actual friends, aside of bantering part since Adam became pretty much lonewolf. You can consider Malik and Vega being the same but not as close. They should do more with side characters this time like Aria, Chikane and Macready. Miller was done well though, others time were fairly limited.

He's emotionally damaged & kinda broken after all he's been through. And he's trying to shield with that attitude even towards the people he loves. Adam and Francis obviously care about each other a lot, and i honestly think they should be an official couple by now. And Francis is even trying to talk about this thing beetwen them, he CARES, but Adam may think that it's better for everybody for him to stay singlee (which, in his case, lonely is a better word). Bc, you know, he trusted Megan even in MD, after he saw what she did to him. And that betrayal, that she woked for the company that's trying to destroy him AGAIN? It's obviously hard for him to show his true emotions, bc he cares a lot as well, he's just scared of getting hurt again. He's afraid that Francis's words will get him, that he may start to talk about all of this (and again, he's afraid of getting into real relationships again). And that he'll hurt Francis as well by trying to shield both of them with those mean words. So he just... leaves. But again, I believe it's slightly OOC bc Francis didn't do anything wrong, and for some reason creators decided that they're gonna make them like that. "Don't call me ever again" bc of... what? Meh. But still. The tension is very much real. I believe that they're very good friend in HR.

I love to hate Francis and I hate that I love him :) Deus Ex is dead, but this duo will be always in sf cannon like Quark and Odo like J.K.Tiberius and Spock ;) Q and Picard, Mal and Inara:) Wintersun and Neuromancer. I need more duo in my sf. For the first half of your life they pump in your head how important it is to be good at something just to trash every bit of talent in the second half when the corporate mill grinds the juice from the fruits. How 12 milion units is consider a failure, why not executives test their Icarus landing system from the nearest sky scraper before blaming talented and hard working specialist for those type of "failure". The games below the sky was in the frame of mind of bank account tuned to a dead franchise.

Why making some building for not being able to use it. It is like if the game that use to be you can do it all sorts of ways....well in this one you could only use praxis on a specific way if not....you are dead. It is so fucking shit.
