This is incredible, great walkthrough. I had my first realistic difficulty non lethal run recently and at this level I went in through the TOP to get to the generator instead of the bottom. What a horrible idea that turned out to be. Thanks for posting.

Hah, yeah I had to do a few playthroughs before figuring out what's best. Thanks for watching!

Going to Trained in swinmming... That is quite the move considering the stigma assosiated with that skill.

8:09 Imo better is to use one LAM than two lockpicks on safe to get augmentation canister.

Sure, if you're prepared to flee before the guards arrive, have already knocked them out, or don't have as many lockpicks as I did.

omg dude, you're awesome! awesome walkthrough! in this part, there was a part when I was lost with what to do (I finished the game several times now I want to explore everything I can and I don't take any lives) I entered the main building from the rooftop, I discovered that tunnel part from the other side which I had no idea what that is, and I wasn't able to open that latticed door when I swam through the tunnel - now I know what it is. as i finish the game this time i'll watch walkthrough

@mysteriousDSF I can't remember exactly but I think none of the patrols get close enough to the generator for the explosion to kill anyone.

Yeah, another canister does appear later in the medical closet, but I think it's nice to have the aug during the Lebedev mission.

@OOZ662 Interesting because at least on the PC version, guards are incapable of hearing doors. Even when they hear a noise that's not gunfire, they investigate it before sounding the alarm.

NICE. Never seen anyone tackle the NSF generator mission like that before! It's been all these years; and I STILL see new strategies and item places in Deus Ex :D :D

@OOZ662 He probably heard the sound of the crates being broken, but I'm not sure about the alarm.
@shido53415 жыл бұрын
What stigma? It costs only 675 points and it pays off on more than one occasion in the later levels.

Had a guard hear that door that automatically opens at 6:12, sound an alarm, and come camp in the hallway next to it. Lovely.

@shido534 Well, something irritated him. Maybe it was the camera as I rounded the corner. I went in the room, that door opened, I closed it and whacked the boxes, head one of those generic "I heard something" phrases, hid in the corner where the crates were and listened to feet scrambling around before the alarm went off. Waited it out, then found him standing in the NW corner of the hall. Didn't wait long enough to see if he would walk away before nailing him, though.

@BUGBUSTERss the spray isn't on other difficulty levels. I played on medium and they didn't even flinch at the spray. think it has to be on "realistic".

I don't think I ever found that lift in 5 playthroughs of the early missions 😂
@shido53416 жыл бұрын
That's actually a leg aug. In my version, running around and breaking the crates in the basement is fine when they're not on alert. Notice that I crouched from 7:50 to 8:40, when they were on alert.

@Ripp46 I've never heard of difficulty level affecting the amount of skill points earned.

Hey, in 6:30 in the safe which is next to desk and computer you have speed/silent run aug canister.
@shido53416 жыл бұрын
I found the aqualung canister in a safe at Castle Clinton (Battery Park). You should really use a search engine.

wow i never knew about that underground tunnel. its true no matter how many times youve played this game theres ALWAYS new stuff

I like to train in swimming, as shido534 said, it will become very useful later in the game.

Have you tried the shifter mod? It allows you to throw melee weapons as if they were throwing knives, and also gives you skill points every time you kill or knock out an enemy.

I received bonuses for exploration, area location, completing objectives, etc.

hey man, I'm taking the nonlethal walkthrough as serious as it is possible! doesn't simply detonating the generator kill the guys nearby? I'm about to beat them unconscious then transfer their bodies away so they don't die. or am I wrong, doesn't detonating the generator take human lives?
@shido53414 жыл бұрын
@xjod9 So far I've only seen videos of it. I'm not really compelled to play it, though.

i never know the prod and the spray can be this useful
@shido53414 жыл бұрын
@jakkied1 The game still labels the body as "unconscious" but I'd just go with common sense.
@paulbottomley4216 жыл бұрын
Aha, that's why you didn't get the skill points in the previous video, I see now. And I thought you'd missed the aug canister in the basement. Oh me of little faith.

just ansious and curious to see ur augumentations choice
@mysteriousDSF14 жыл бұрын
@shido534 well I went for sure. I beat the guards on the ground level and I placed their unconscious bodies outdoors by the door nearby. then I detonated the generator, and after that I went back to the place to check that the guys haven't been killed - they didn't. the guys on upper floors haven't been harmed. I did this part last night and I'm proud of it:D:D:D I'll seriously try to do the whole game without killing anyone, later I'll watch all your walkthrough.

Doesn't shutting down the generator have the potential to set off explosives in the base and kill NSF troops?
@shido5342 жыл бұрын
IIRC the explosion hurts but rarely/never kills if you haven't already hurt them.
