lol, Sseth was never any internet or real world ideal. He makes the sort of content that appeals to teenage edgelords, then and now. The only difference is that with the increasing mainstream-ness of the internet, the edgy bits receive more and larger scale criticism than they did when nobody took internet communities seriously.

I can't wait for the eventual Amazing Cultivation Simulator reaction. This game will blow their minds. 6:00 Also, it's always funny to see people being so surprised about games in the 90-00s, considering that on average they were far better than what we have today by all standarts except graphics (one of the reasons why games today are worse. Too much cost and effort goes into visuals, which also limits back other aspects) and UI design (only straight improvement of today. But pretty great one, because UI is far more important for players experience than you can think initially). Gameplay depth, stories, characters, even voice acting were far greater due to it being driven more by passion than corporate greed (not to mention lack of censorship, so full creativity mode). I think only genre that has improved, ironically, is an fps one, because it was always very graphical and isn't really deep in a gameplay department. Although, all modern shooter pvp games < Quake pvp.

Reminds me of old fighting games compared to new ones and how old sprites will have far more character in their movement and actions than more recent games as well as more characters on the roster. First thing that comes to mind is of course Street Fighter but also Guilty Gear and King of Fighters

Honestly UIs peaked with original PCrelease of Morrowind in 2002 whoever came up with the idea of making menus windows that can be manipulated same way as windows on a desktop deserves an award. Nothing beats that. It's a shame that it never got popular and console friendly stuff is the norm.

Deus ex is more open map then open world, you can go near anywhere in the allotted map but you can’t leave the mission area, for example if your mission is in say, Miami, you can go anywhere in the city but can’t leave it until you complete the mission and switch area

Always love hearing your thoughts about games and these videos! Would absolutely love to see you guys stream or play some of these at one point. Some notes about Deus Ex: The first one is fantastic, and the fun part about the game is how open the routes are - if you build full into stealth, you aren't forced into making some decisions, you can full on stealth past certain bosses. Deus Ex 2, which is also known as Invisible War... isn't very good, but it's a tad old still. Shows its age, unlike the original. Of the sequel series, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is very good. While less nuanced or complex as the original, it still feels like a deus ex game and the character and his story is interesting enough on its own. The most recent one, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided had better gameplay in certain aspects than Human Revolution, but it felt short and unfinished. The plot, however, was a bit ham-fisted in its metaphors, and didn't feel as clever despite looking the best out of all of the games. My personal favorite is the original, but Human Revolution is fun too, and it's a good place to start since the newer games are *technically* prequels! Have fun! :D

I have to understand that we consider the modern world now is essentially the stone age Deus Ex was a 16 time award winning game, and only ever came to slide into obscurity becase the first best selling Call of Duty came at the same time of the infamous sequel Information that would be everywhere, about a game with world renown is treated like it somehow never existed

You really need to do something about audio equalization between ding&dong and the video. I gotta bring the volume up to hear what is being said in the reacted-to video, and slam that volume back down everytime the hosts talks. Even worse when they laugh. It's not Rich Evans tier annoying, but it's still not ideal. Good example of this is around 2:11.

One of my favorite video game commentators is Ross from Accursed Farm. He does a series called Rosses Game Dungeon. I recommend those. Though, many of those do tend to be on the longer side, usually between 30 minutes to an hour His style is a bit more laid back than Sseth. He did a review of this game as well.

He unfortunately didn't mention the best (craziest) thing about stealth gameplay. When an NPC detects you, it doesn't automatically mean every NPC does as in most games; NPCs have to run to and trigger an alarm panel. If you can incapacitate or kill the guard before they do that, no alarm. Grenades can be set to a proximity-activated mode and stuck to a surface. If you place one near an alarm, an NPC will blow themselves up trying to activate it. This may inform nearby NPCs of your presence, but it's still better than a map-wide alarm. Plus, it's funny as hell.
@yewtewbstew547 Жыл бұрын
Oh I never even thought of placing a LAM next to alarms, that's genius. But yeah non-psychic enemies are always a plus in stealth games. My favourite for that was always Metal Gear Solid 2. In that game if you were detected the enemy would have to physically reach for and use the radio on his belt to call for backup. Depending on how quickly you interrupted that process, the resulting enemy response would vary. Like if you interrupted the guard mid sentence you wouldn't get an alert, but the CO on the other end would get worried and send a small search team in to check up on him.
