Deus Ex Revision Demo 1.3.1 Mod, combine with New Vision 1.5, HDTP and DX 10. You can also use Shifter mod. About low fps - some issue with my video hardware...
I think this looks and plays wonderful, gave this fantastic game even a better vision.

Please remove the abomination called "motion blur". There is nothing realistic about it. In some games it is tolerable but this is just awful, it's like it's 15fps game played by a drunk person. Also HUD could use some improvements, make it bigger, etc. But despite all that this is really well done, great job you guys! Keep it up, I'm waiting for this

The first thing I thought of when I saw the grass textures you added to the statue of liberty was how much they fuck up the feel of the level; you turned it into more of a jungle than city monument. everything else is really nice, though.

It'll be nice to replay this classic with a twist, but I'm not sold on the new environments. Their layouts aren't any more believable, and in a lot of cases look more difficult to navigate. I'm also not sure the engine is built to handle this amount of geometry stably.

Perhaps this was addressed in another release, but why in the world would you put maggie chow in the midst of clear antagonists? I did not think it was that obvious on my first play through and it was fun to figure out how to approach her.

.... not that I don't appreciate the efforts gone into this thing, but man, this game could really use a proper remake. It was always compelling from a gameplay perspective, but after playing something like Human Revolution, I can sympathize a bit with the younger generation trying to play these older games.

I always found this game hard to get into. It's just too damn dark and i can't see where I'm going half of the time and the battery dies so quickly when you use the light.

I don't know why this mod makes it so dark, because as I recall it the original had much better lighting. I rarely had to use the flashlight. Maybe it's just the player's settings?

Coming from someone who played the PS2 version first: level design (things clash and don't feel like they go together unlike in PS2 version), animation (wonky and stiff, mouth movement especially is bad), intro (too revealing whereas PS2 version didn't ID Walton and Bob right off the bat, it also didn't expose nasty flaws in the engine), inventory management could use work (PS2 version almost got it right, but was way too forgiving), texture brightness issues, and a few other things that it shares with The Conspiracy.

Well the original is an incredibly ugly looking game. The texture's the city layout, the awful voice acting are all things that leave room for massive improvement. This mod at least makes Deus Ex look like a visually captivating game. Plus the original Deus Ex is pretty cheesy and I don't think any mod on its own could get rid of that.

황원 The textures and shadows are fine. Polygons could be improved maybe, but other than that it's alright. What actually makes a game age worse is clunky physics, and that is a problem Deus Ex does not have.

The models are from HDTP, another mod, not Revision.

D Perete I'd recommend installing Kentie's Launcher (helps compatibility with modern PCs and has a mod manager), New Vision (improves graphical detail in environments) and HDTP (improves object detail like weapons, garbage cans, crates etc.). The lighting change is attached to Revision, neither New Vision nor HDTP. The new soundtrack is also completely optional in the mod (you can apparently switch between the original OST and the new in the options menu).

I plan to replay DX after many years. got it from GoG. I stumbled upon this mod. Want the original gameplay with improved graphics or sound too. Is this the only thing I need? any recommendations?

This version isn't complete yet If you just want a new coat of paint, download the Kentie launcher, Direct3D 9 renderer New Vision texture pack, and HDTP. If you want to play this though, you'll have to wait.

SpookyKid94 thanks. I play mods very often but I am not familiar with modding scene of DX in particular. I think I am gonna keep an eye on this and wait for a few months. I would prefer just one big package which I could install easily over GoG DX and go.

LodovicoAriosto1 Don't worry, when Revision launches (May 12), it's gonna come packaged with New Vision, that is already packaged with the Direct3D 9/10 renderer. Also, you don't need to mess with the game's files, since it all comes with a single EXE.

It looks good but certain parts should not have been reconfigured. Like the a few parts in hell's kitchen and pretty much all of UNATCO HQ. The new layout of the HQ ruins the familiarity that most fans have gained over the many years, making the newer graphics a lot less impactful

Meh. I kinda like the trees. But I don't like other changes. The graphics... really don't look much different from how I remember it, then again nostalgia is very forgiving.

This Revision mod is a POS, I'd rather play with the original. Check out the HDTP mod, it would be something.

I always disliked the HDTP models, they look really bad and inconsistent with the rest of the game. They are really out of place. :/
