Josef Strauss was obviously a genius. "I have the popularity but my brother Josef has the talent." This comment came from Johann Strauss II, the older brother of Josef. I find this waltz so amazing. And I immediately liked it and I am listening to it for the third time while typing this comment. Thanks a lot for posting this video.

Josef Strauss was very talented . I only discovered his music recently . I come from Russia were I only knew and loved waltzes composed by his brother Johann Strauss who was very popular there . This waltz is very elegant . Love the painting by Henry Baron . Thanks for posting this charming waltz . SPASIBO .

I was suprised when I read that it was played at one of Neujahrskonzerts, would love to hear that recording. This one is great too, speeding it up was good decision.

Sounds a touch speedier than the original recording. I like it though! This waltz is one of my favorites, it has Pepi's signature epic quality.
