Germany before the war was simply a beautiful place full of history and where all was able to expose the great cultural level of germans....now remain not at all...maybe something is still as like was in east Europe...in Siebenbürgen Sachsen, Südtirol und Sudetenland...it's really sad...unfortunately war destroy all...750 years of history too...

walsch80 I generally agree with you. But in most cases German culture was destroyed by Germans themselves. They developed a disgusting nationalism, and it is no wonder that they are not liked by the rest of Europe. Initially, the German culture was appreciated and admired in those areas you mentioned. Catherine , the Great even invited them to the Volga to enrich their culture and economy. All in all, the Germans have always been economic heroes, but political idiots. I am trying to be honest though being a German myself. Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, Hitler, Mercedes Benz and Auschwitz as well as two world wars made up a vicious mixture of what you call 'German'.

@henryseidel5469
@henryseidel5469 5 жыл бұрын

Nochmal meine Bitte: Nicht sofort schreiben. Thank you, Ulrich for your response and letting me/us know. Many of the European towns bombed to bits during the war were rebuilt in as exact a way as the original, using photographs and in as many instances as possible, using the same materials i.e. bricks and stone. I am really glad that they have at last tried to create Frankfurt as it was, however. Post war architecture was ugly and functional. They must have thought that was the way it was going.
