I used to work for CNH in the assembly plant in Dublin GA. We built 18 to 75 HP units, including cabs. The building is vacant here and has much more real estate. Come to Dublin and start building compacts, I would love to participate it that!!

calypsosoca why are these tractors not as good as others?
@7pdude4 жыл бұрын
@@kdegraa companies like John Deere or Fendt are quite a bit ahead when it comes to electronics/computers/cloud services ... if you can't make use of these often quite expensive features a Deutz will be just fine and will save you a ton of money.

Hi calypsosoca. I’m in Australia and am shopping for a 4wd tractor with loader for my little farm, a little tractor rated at around 40Hp. My main requirements are a 3 point hitch that can lift 600 kg, two sets of rear hydraulics, a 4 in 1 loader, a decent hydraulic fluid flow and the 4 in 1 loader. Also something that if is not abused and looked after will not die in the field. Deutz Fahr tractors were not on the shopping list as I thought they were really expensive. Yesterday I was looking up SAME tractors as we have an old SAME Corsaro. The Australian Deutz Fahr site came up as the company also sells SAME tractors. They sell a 50HP Deutz tractor for around the same money Japanese and South Korean brands sell 30 to 40HP tractors. So I’m interested. They also sell SAME tractors rated at around 80HP with a loader for a little more. However the SAME tractors look like they are a little lower in spec, with fewer features, some of whom I want. So I’m keen to find out more about the Deutz Fahr tractors, primarily their Keyline range.

@@kdegraa as long as you have good dealer support (they all break down from time to time) a Deutz might be a solid option for you. Deutz is part of the italy based SDF group (Same Deutz-Fahr) with its brands: Deutz-Fahr, Lamborghini (founder also built the super sport cars that nowadays belong to Audi / VW), SAME and swiss Hürlimann. Deutz and Lambo models are more or less the same (or should i write identical ^^), it's mainly the color. but there are even Hürlimann models for which you can get the iMonitor or eletronically controlled valves. however generally speaking i'd say the Deutz brand is their most capable one with the broadest range of machines especially when it comes to standard tractors. whereas with SAME and Hürlimann they seem to primarily target the budget customers since these brands don't have the high power models (250+ hp). german Deutz-Fahr has a long history with engines. in fact even today a lot of machines from other manufacturers (e.g. telehandlers) are powered by Deutz engines. and even Fendt had various models powered by Deutz. btw it's quite interesting that the japanese and south korean brands seem to be more expensive. i'm not a 100% sure but i'd say a kubota will still be a bit cheaper than a Deutz in germany.

@@7pdude I don't really care one way or another for IT services on a tractor unless it makes the machine more reliable. I work in IT and to be honest I'm over it and enjoy working with purely mechanical machines. Yeah the pricing is interesting for Deutz Fahr tractors in Australia. For example they sell a 50HP tractor with a 4 in 1 loader along with accessories like wheel weights, a canopy and two sets of rear remotes for around $35K including taxes. In comparison Japanese and South Korean tractors of this spec will cost at least $10K more at around $45K. In regards to support, the nearest Deutz Fahr dealer to my farm is in the closest big town about 50km way. They are also a dealer for a major South Korean brand so if and when we are shopping for a tractor it will be interesting to see them and then ask the dealer why buy a Deutz over a Kioti or vice versa.

I passed in front our local Mahindra dealer and saw two giant green monsters sitting out there on their lot. I had to catch the service road to go see what it was and here I am. I used to be a Deutz diesel mechanic back in the day but never knew they made tractors.

Deutz Tractors came from Cologne at the other side of the River Rhine, and this part called Deutz. I was grown up there. Today there are a huge Plant outside of Cologne, where there build Diesel Engines in all Sizes, even for big ships. In Bavaria is an other Plant, to build with the old Tractor Company ,“Fahr“. Therefore the new Company “DEUTZ - FAHR.

Having preassembled tractors coming in from Europe doesn’t make sense all it does is add cost to the tractor why not just manufacture of the tractor from scratch in the United States as well otherwise what’s the sense
@farm18683 жыл бұрын
You never took a course on global economics. If it was cheaper to do so, they would. Farm tractors are much smaller market compared to say cars or trucks. Could never sell the number of units to justify a separate US Factory. No different than other brands, LS, Kioti, TYM all made in Korea and imported to the US. Even John Deere Tractors are made in different countries' India, Europe, and imported to the US.

Listen I'm sorry y'all went and bought into a great big stinker, but being how I can't even look up a dealer much less parts or anything else I will never consider buying one of these, even if I manage to win the Powerball jackpot I'd probably still go with a Kubota, there's more dealers in my medium sized state than your entire Network of overly complicated Euro Playboy tractors.
@farm18683 жыл бұрын
Been looking at Tractors for a while (80 to 140 HP range.) and for the Price, the Deutz are very competitive. I've looked at Kubota as a main choice, The M5 111 is one i'm looking at. The M6, I can't stand the looks of it. Just to damn ugly. The 6140 Deutz has to be the best looking tractor i've ever seen. What does that "overly complicated Euro Playboy tractors" comment even mean? On what basis do you make such a clam? With all new equipment you have emissions and computerized engine management and advanced farming management options. So you're either just another internet troll, or someone that has a shoe size that exceeds their IQ.
