Many years ago, I wrote to Gérard Pelletier (the man in the band) to propose a musical collaboration. He answered me very kind and warm. I will never forget, because I love their music. Here I wanted to share his message: "Dear Nicolas, Yes, with Cati TETE an I, Gérard Pelletier, we formed in 1981 the band DEUX. Thank you so much for your beautiful compliment. I don't keep the voices of DEUX cause our Manager is dead and he brings our production out of time. Cati and I don't make any more production. I think it's enough yet. You know I am 60 years old. I made my time. However, I made in the 90's a lot of little songs with a music workstation (Roland W30). All these titles are made with sample and I made that alone. It was a bad time for me cause Cati gone away with his friend and my friend and producer and an other friend of mine had a terrible accident and is dead too. And yet, I have Emphysema. Also, you are able to understand why I make a long break with Music. But I stay Optimist. All the Best too. Gérard". Thank you Gérard, from my heart, in any place that you would be now, an immense hug. Rest in peace. Nicolás Estany, Visonia.

That is haunting and heart breaking to read. Thanks so much for sharing. Gerard died a couple of weeks before he turned 61, soon after writing the correspondance above I'm sure.
