After getting lost in this video, seeing myself on these street as a young child, I snapped out of it and read your question....I prefer the Always Horizontal View.

I like both. The constant horizon view gives more of detached overview sense, kind of like what you see when using 3-D view in Apple Maps, for example. The first person view is nice because you have more of a sense that you are actually flying through the few in person. Both are good, and perhaps each might be better in a particular situation, but neither seems to me to be “better” than the other overall. At first, when you were pointing out the constant horizon view, I thought you were trying to prove that the earth is flat! 😂 I enjoyed this view, because this is my neighbourhood (I live on Grand-Moulin at du Lac) and I’ve been all over this area between the river and the tracks on my bike countless times over the last 13 1/2 years. So it’s especially nice to get this bird’s-eye view rather than the ground-level view I’m used to.

They both work well. I would prefer a mix of the two if possible. This way, the viewers can sense the movement when changing direction.

From the comments on different platforms I think I have figured out when to use which mode. Horizontal for detailed viewing and FPV for a more dynamic and cinematic when viewing landscape.
