Still wish it actually flew you there over the landscape instead of the fast travel. I'm no mod author. I'm sure that would be incredibly difficult to do. Another great video. ❤

I am a real sucker for Steampunk-ish flying ships so this one really caught my attention. I had a mod called something like "Flyable Broom" that allowed flying freedom and I had a ball with that one. With this as a free flying airship I would be cruising at 3 metres above the ground with a bard quartet on the bow "bum - bummming" the theme song from Jaws as I close in on bandits and other evil doers.

FEB! I got bored with Elysium and Whiterun Safehold, so I stumbled upon Nevah's Keep which looked like a good spot then I stumbled upon Dev Aveza for the first time! I was completely intrigued by the concept of a moving house, and out of curiosity I was wondering if you covered it already and, lo and behold, ya did! Great review, I'm probably gonna test it out for myself now.

@@FebrithDarkstar also just wanna mention just in case you haven’t gotten the Tiss interior rework to work for ya (I’m using it now and feel like a real pirate), just go on MCM for Dev Aveza and switch the interior to alternate. And depending if you’re midway in your save just wait 7 days and it’ll work! Or it should immediately on any new file. Cheers feb and keep up the entertaining videos. :D

Just FYI, the clockwork stop needed an update, so if you update Legacy to v5.1.1 and install the newest patches, it should work fine

Hi Icecreamassassin! Did you remove the option to manually fly the Dev Aveza? The stand-alone mod allowed it, but with it integrated into LOTD I only found out how to quick travel. Is there a hidden switch somewhere?

@@DennisAH With the patch, the ship's wheel has two activators; one will fast travel and one will allow flight. It's divided in half on the left and right side of the wheel.

It really is a shame that Tissendel's Interior doesn't work with LotDB, he really made the Dev Aveza look like what you'd expect from a Dwemer Skyship what with all the pipework and the furnace down on the lowest deck. I wonder if you could decorate the regular interior from LotDB with Hearthfire Extended's craftable furniture alongside a placement mod. Unfortunately I haven't downloaded the new LotDB update, the file is 2.5GB and I'm currently stuck with horribly slow rural american internet, but that might be something to try next time I use LotDB. Currently I'm using Luftship K747, a version of the flyable Dev Aveza that's supposed to have updated, lighter weight and more stable scripts for flying, steering, and dropping the rope ladder properly, of which Tissendel's interior is compatible with via a patch. Shame Kojack747 didn't add Dwemer cannons to his version of the ship. Would be awesome to pull up on a dragon like Captain Jack Sparrow.

TY for the sweet video! Such a nice voice you have :) Has anoyne figured out though how to MANUALLY fly the ship? This was possible with the stand-alone Dev Aveza mod and worked pretty well. APPARENTLY this should still be possible with the compatibility patches from LOTD and the V5 patch from Dev Aveza, but so far I can only quick travel, but not steer or fly by hand.

As much as I love the look of this ship, sadly I can not use it. I die every time it docks somewhere, it has never worked for me. I have tried everything, staying inside until it stops, making sure I map locations down in the hull, step onto deck it immediately throws me overboard. But it does make a nice addition to the landscape.

Ask to kojak in his discord,that you can find in his mod page profile, his optimized version. He also has a tissendels version but in any case you need to switch the interior to alternative in the mcm so that it shows up . He has to send it to you via private messaging.

hello. I'm using the legacy of the dragonborn mod with the moonpath to elsweyr so after we're given the ship, we can only go to specific locations using the map, well as much as I love the idea. I also installed the other dev aveza mod where you're given another similar ship to the one we're given so we can manually fly it. but the interior for it doesn't work and was wondering if anyone has gotten it to work with a mod or do I have to do the legacy questline to get the ship like the original one to make the interior one work? because it seems in the mod settings there is an interior option but with the legacy mod it seems to be disabled and unable to be reenabled so just curious if I need to get a mod or do the legacy questline to get it? or does it not work at all? any help would be really nice. thank you

That comes as part of the questline that comes with the mod. Tip: If you're quick enough you can save the Khajiit....:)

Still not good enough to download and install midgame( the mod says not to do that anyway)..... and.. my gripe with the ship's interior is as follows. Where the armor and weapons are at, one side could have been both search weapons and search weapons in one side of the hallway and the otherside have static crates that are search cargo. I think that interior you are talking about is for the fly yourself version...... which isnt too bad either....

@@FebrithDarkstar well..... there is a way, my CK is no good, but all the alt interior would need is its name changes to what the lotdb airship's interior name is and there you go. Sounds so simple, but its not likely that simple..... in fa ct its probably far more complex.

Honestly at this distance in time I couldn't say - I recall it had a manual - perhaps read that to see if it gives you any clue? Either that or contact the mod author via the forums maybe and/or check the comments section of the mod to see if others have had an issue and how they resolved it - sorry not to be more help!

I didn't want to give any spoilers but I'm not sure which bit you're struggling with....Auryen and I were in the Guildhouse and he told me I had a visitor, I went out the back door onto the deck and there is the airship (if you're quick you can see the outline of the dirty Thalmor's invis and you can kill him before he attacks and kills the Khajiit).

@@FebrithDarkstar Yeah its fine, I read something I think about a small quest from lotdb side to access it there, I was just getting so frustrated with it and it doesn't say on lotdb site or ship site about that, I got told on lotdb go to discord, n ask there, when that was least helpful advice I'd had all day, lotdb discord wouldn't let me chat the whole clam an account , the ship mod pages says climb a flippin mountain to access it >< , I have signed into discord on other channels, so I remove lotdb patches n ship and all other connected with them, and rolled back my saves, just wasn't worth the frustration thanks tho

It's a quest reward obviously so you'll be told where it is as you go through the quest - though if you haven't got to that part yet then it's behind the Explorer's Society guild house.

This mod is really cool I wish I could use it. Judging from the developers description from were you acquire the mod. It says in a description the airship is suppose be in Solitude. Looking at the photos that people uploaded, that looks like to be the case. But however for me anyway after installing the mod using Vortex as my mod manager, I load up a new play through, I go to Solitude and look up based on the photos and it is not there. What is the requirements or is their a quest chain you have to do or someone to talk too in order for it to be become available to you. Or do you have to be at a certain level with your character or a particular number play through hour's passed in order for to become available. I really appreciate any feedback if someone could tell me how to obtain it. Thanks for your response cheers Dion.

Hey Mike, if you watch the very end of the video I show you the disembarkation (after Clockwork). The Dev Aveza also has a map marker so you'll never lose it which is dead handy!

Some spots have plank bridge, some mods even include a parking spot like Helgen Reborn. The rest of the spots have the drop ladder to get up/down.

@@FebrithDarkstar - Thanks for replying. I think your CPU might be about half again faster than mine, and your GPU about twice as fast, maybe a bit more on each. I do have 16GB RAM though and 4GB VRAM and the game's running on an SSD. Pretty good for a 6 year old laptop but edging toward "potato" status if compared to a modern desktop. If your performance is easy and smooth without problems, maybe I could run it too. If you have occational problems though it will probably be too much for my PC. Well I guess I'll just have to try it. Maybe test game, COC to where the airship is located, and give it a try.

If you downloaded the Legacy of the Dragonborn then you don't get it until you've progressed to a certain stage in the quest line after you've built the Exlorer's Society guildhouse etc.
