Very odd choice of Indian foods. Packaged dosa is never good, even if it is 15 mins old, it always has to be freshly prepared. Also, I've never heard of pappadam being a dish on its own, being eaten with pickles or chutneys, it's always eaten either with rice or crushed into the rice. And in my experience puffed up pappadams always taste better than the flat ones.

How is that even comparable - dosa is a full meal not a snack. That’s what I meant when I said I was disappointed- they just didn’t have a good balance at all with the snacks shown. They should probably take advice from people of the countries they are showcasing. Though people who know the food - Dev Patel doesn’t know what sambar is 🤣 which is understandable for a non-South Indian who grew up outside of India.

An Chicken or Kari dosa is still something common and authentic that you can find here, the bigger problem with dosa is that the experience depends a lot on how it's made and how fresh it is.
