Do not pity us; the language is Sanskrit and for the many who don't know it, there is the translation in English that many do understand. I wish a Hindi translation was provided for our Northern brothers and sisters.

@@sowmitriswamy6718 No Surprise 😂! Both Telugu and Sanskrit is 40% similar. By the way, Annamaiah is a great Telugu Poet and he wrote all Keerthana's in Telugu only. This is also Telugu keerthana 😀

@@4uchinnu Mr. Burra, most composers in those days were prolific in their native language and Sanskrit. There is no argument that Annamacharya is a Telegu composer, but he did write in Sanskrit too. Look at his other compositions such as "Bhavayami Gopala Balam" which is pure Sanskrit, while "Brahmam Okate", "Nigama, Nigamanthara" are obviously Telugu. Thiagaraja did the same as well, e.g. "Samajavaragamana" is Sanskrit.. Oothakadu Venakata Subba Iyer, a well known Tamil composer wrote "Swagatam Krishna" in Sanskrit. To provide an analogy, Purandaradasa wrote his devarnamas mostly in Kannada, but he also did write some in Sanskrit, like "Venkatachala Nilayam". Both Kannada and Telugu adopted a lot of Sanskrit words and it therefore not surprising that you seem confused about the language used. I would suggest that you look at the lyrics word by word and see which of them are non-Sanskrit.
