Omg DAVID!! I can identify with the cultural misappropriation in SO many levels. As a Puerto Rican woman (mind you I “look white, sound white”, and I’m tall) my hair was always considered “messy” or “unmanageable” and the way to correct what was “wrong” with my hair was to blow dry it. This was before flat irons came to my side of the island. Thank you for shedding light on this and making me feel like I’m not alone in the process of loving my curls. The two of you are SUCH an inspiration! I am manifesting working with the two of you one day. In the meantime, I’ll keep learning.
