The pronunciation of deva is with a 'v' sound not a 'w', despite what the deck author has written. It is a Sanskrit word, देव whose root is दिव् 'div' which means 'to shine', hence the devas are shining beings traditionally associated with (shining) celestial bodies and fire in Hinduism, but it also refers to a god or goddess in general (female form is devi). There is no 'w' as such in Sanskrit, but the 'v' tends to be softened in pronunciation when it comes after a consonant (sounding somewhat like a 'w'), though not following a vowel or at the start of a word. Hope that is helpful :) (I am a student of Vedanta; Hindu philosophy, studying Sanskrit scriptures.)

Ps to the veil deck you can get texture with acrylic paint but a little like your watercolour (only easier than that) you have to work for it. I’m wondering if she usually oil too.

squeak! Yes I literally squeaked when I saw the video on my feed lol. So happy you finally have this deck and can work with it. I love it so much, my relationship with it is very personal. From day one I've got it I use it with the M.Petersen together and these two decks speak the same language. I have 1-2 videos I'm using them together. They left me speechless more than once.

I love your walk throughs. This deck was on my wish list too, and I ordered this and the Weavers Oracle in September. They are powerful decks. I cried going through the cards in these decks and can see working with these for the rest of my life. I love how you edged them. Did you do one or two coats? They look perfect.

How do you spell the name of your water-based markers? I'll look for them here in Rio, there's a huge stationery store downtown Rio. It's a 3-story store but I try not to go there very often, or they might have to take me away to a mental hospital 'cause I get a little crazy, my cousin and I go nuts when we go together, I'm a pen and marker fanatic since I was 5 years old, I'm now 56 and feel excited the same way when I was a kid! My cousin too, we're too kids, she's like my sister, but since I lived in the US for 30 years and I'm now reconnecting with her. We saw IT together and we're teenagers again. Good feelings! Sorry for my long post...yikes I cannot seem to shut up...sorry.

Gosh! I gotta go downtown on Monday go to try to find these markers. One thing that sucks in Brazil it's they charge three times the cost in dollars because taxes on imported product are one of the most expensive in the world. But, instead of getting a Tarot Deck or Oracle one, I might have to cave in and purchase these if they're on sale here. Probably, oh I have so many decks to edge. I almost ruined my favorite deck The Witches Tarot using Pilot permanent marker. Good thing I have an another deck, I connected very well with it. It's by Ellen Dugan.

Yes, I have worked a lot with this deck and find it to be very powerful, I like to use it in readings where I am looking for an overall energy or theme, the closest deck that I have that reminds me of it is the Illuminated Earth Oracle, they just have that grand sweeping energy of the world to them. I do wish the titles were on the cards or the numbers were more legible!

@@TheTruthinStory Thanks for the reply...it reminds me of the Singers in the Froud Fairy deck, it has that energy to me, but more of it. I'll look into the other oracle too. It's hard to find oracles that have some meat on their bones.
