Good job. Its heartbreaking to see him, and so many, who have worked their whole lives for a nice house in their dream location and bam. Gone. Not just there either. Very touching. I wish I could swoop in and do it for him. We have sent supplies to BPK to help what we can.

Hi Hannah. So I was able to find a contractor for this man and then I went up and helped him pick thru the mud in his yard and find a lot of belongings including jewelry and other keepsakes. He's doing pretty good now considering...

I read all the comments that were here unfortunately nothing updated if he ever was able to make it and fix his house. It honestly breaks one heart to see how helpless we all can on a natural disaster and at old age. God help us all. I hope to God that he is doing well.

My boyfriend lives in the keys. He said the Baptist and National Guard are helping owners (if you rent, you're fucked as far as help with cleaning or tearing down walls. His neighbor who is just lazy got help. I hope this gentlemen gets help. Sad.

Got done watching Brian Trible's videos on Irma(2 Parts) recently. They live just up the road not even a mile from this gentleman. In fact, Mr. Trible walked by this gentleman's home. Every house that wasn't on stilts was gutted by storm surge. Hope this gentleman is doing ok.

If you did any amount of research at all you would've found the followup video to this where I brought in a team of friends and we personally went thru the mud and muck picking out this nice gentleman's belongings as well as getting the house back in some sort of shape. Oh also, I do in fact work with the Washington Post and was only there for the afternoon, but again, thanks for spreading negativity around the internet without any idea what you're talking about. Get out of florida, temperatures are rising creating a bad bad situation for florida. These hurricanes will become more frequent, and larger. Not to mention just how uncomfortable the high heat and humidity is. You can't even walk outside for more than 10 minutes without a soaked shirt. Imagine if you were a construction worker. That's why they get paid sooo LOW. If you are smart you get the fuck out of florida.
