This film is based on a Bengali novel by Sarat Chandra. It had a Telugu adaptation in 1953, which was iconic in Telugu cinema, and its first adaptation was in 1928, which was a silent film. In total, this novel had 25 adaptations in various languages, like Hindustani, Bengali, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, Assamese, Odia, and Malayalam. It is one of the greatest novels of all time.

Another SRK's classic that you have to watch is Veer Zaara. It's an epic romance. For something different by SRK, I'll suggest Baazigar and Darr. We also need Dhoom reaction because Syntell is the only one who have watched it 😂

One of the best "theatrical acting " ever executed by a leading man in Hindi cinema. Nowadays in the era of "subtle" acting people forget how much depth is required for this type of performances. It's almost like an on stage play. Only Nana Patekar and Srk can do this mode of acting in today's times.

I remember this movie in July 2002, first day last show, somehow people started chattering that Aishwarya is looking unreal, even rickshaw walas kind of blowing away by her beauty with good comments yelling loudly. So I am here explain all the original facts of the story. I had to do it whenever someone reacts to this movie. 1. In the original novel no such a Lamp 🪔 concept existed. Its just a symbolic representation of paro's love towards Dev. 2. The marriage proposal didn't took that much drama. Paro had a grandma in the original novel and she proposed Dev's mother for the proposal 3. Last but not the least. The most shocking one Paro never met with Chandramukhi. She knew about paro from Drvdas but actually never met each other.

Yeah, I looked at the past month movie reactions. 13 were from Hindi and 3 from South. Even if Hindi viewers are more, a 10 to 5 ratio can be done. And also there are other great stuff from Bollywood like Priyadarshan films, Dhoom Series, late 00s and early 10s romcoms like Love Aaj Kal, Meri Brother ki Dulhan etc apart from the same movies watched multiple times by different reactors. @Achara should look into it a bit more.
