For those that prettier doesn't work: File > Preferences > Settings > Search for "default formatter" Make sure your Editor: Default Formatter field is not null but rather "Prettier - Code formatter" and that all the languages below are ticked. This fixed my issue. ~Found this on the internet~

It is quite open and straight forward that VS Code is difficult for beginners and is not user-friendly,it could be better off saying it was created for an experienced developers.i have not seen any unique thing in VS Code that other IDE does not have. Notepad ++ is enough for the development of a static site while upcoming coming editors like Sublime, Vs Code e.t.c are better with a site with the backend functionality.

Which’s better: VSCode or VS2019?
@keesvv035 жыл бұрын
VSCode is more suitable for web development and Node.js. VS2019 is more of an IDE rather than a code editor; it has all kinds of tools for building .NET apps (mostly C#). So it mostly depends on your usage purpose.

@evakuator81185 жыл бұрын
I guess, Ed would not want to scare the audience. Assuming that the viewers are mostly frontenders, it wouldn't make sense for them to learn it.
@HostDotPromo5 жыл бұрын
Kuat Abylkasymov I disagree, vim is great for editing whether it be front end or backend. Saying he caters to beginners would make more sense.
@evakuator81185 жыл бұрын
@@HostDotPromo , yeah, but still vs code is much easier to deal with, and it has a huge community. Also, VS Code is much superior to Vim when it comes to frontend, be it writing css, html, pug, sass, angular, react, vue, because it has a lot of plugins ready to use. Vim, on the other hand, has a vertical learning curve, and its own philosophy based on modality. But, to be honest, vim plugins suck, they are most of the time, incompatible with each other. If you like it and can get you work done, use it, don't give a shit about my ranting. p.s VS Code have Vim mode which is not worse, and sometimes better than vim.
