It’s always amazing to watch Harald link turns on snow. Definitely a art form. Along with the expert technical explanation I would add one observation. Momentum is your friend and ally. Momentum carries you from turn to turn. Frequently you can observe so many skiers making turns in which they scrub off so much momentum then struggling to get into the next turn. Harald goes with the flow like water running down stream.

Harald Haarb is the best teacher in the universe!! I have been snowboarding for 20 years and was always scared of trying skiing because of knee injury concerns. This year I have it a go, I watched Haralds videos and after 6 times now I can ski the same as I snowboard. I just did without mi h difficulty a black mogul run that I normally struggle on the snowboard. His technique ptms is really amazing!! Thanks Harald!!

I think this video is excellent in your explanations that seem to be much fuller than other videos. Ski language terms are very difficult to use in explaining moves that are very dynamic and apply for 10ths of a second as you go through the various phases of turns.

That is a fantastic video.Adding story of ski boots on it and that's what modern skiing is all about. There are a few great skiers around, but I don't see great teachers and true friends of a skier outside PMTS. Thank you Harald, one more time!

Even with a knee replacement, hip replacement & at 70 plus something years of age, Harald is still the best technical looking skier on the mountain on any day of the week.

Coming into the ski season in the southern hemisphere. Good to watch Harald and refresh my memory of how is should be done. Maybe one day you will make it down to NZ. Thanks for the great video. How your body is still going after all that skiing shows you what great technic it is.

I am new to carving since moving to the east. I am so used to steering the ski into quicker turns been taught to extend the leg to put the ski back on the ground after hitting the top of the mogul. However that "extension" is always my weakest part as I keep getting into the air too much. Is my concept wrong? Should I be doing what said, relax and get the hips lower? Or is that just for carving?

PMTS applies to all skiing without having to change your technique for every condition. With traditional instruction you have to unlearn everything and then try to learn a seperate technique for every condition. Makes no sense.

Could you be so kind to explain flex to release in a carving turn. For me its still hard to understand. You are a great example for me to keep skiing till my older days. Thank you so much. :))
