I've been binging Marcus Miller interviews for some...hours? now, and that's one of the best! As many have said, even before being a great bassist, he's a great man!

Had no idea that Al Turner was James Jamerson's nephew, and Al is a bad dude in his own right. Learn something new everyday. Respect.

I enjoyed this interview and perspective by Marcus Miller. His way of experiencing music and describing it is awesome.

A pleasure listening to mr. Miler ! Right now I have an acoustic bass. But my first electric bass will be a Marcus Miller.

Marcus is obviously the bass player he is but he's also an amazing mindset music teacher.

Hi Marcus, I don't know all of your music by heart but today I was listenning to that great french radio station called FIP and I heard some great bass tune, and I immediately knew it was you. I checked, and yes, it was a peace fom your last album to date. I love your sound. Turning off your brain to find your own sound is something that's very inspiring, and not only for music. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Merci beaucoup !

He's not only a great musician, he's a great person. His entire way of thinking when it comes to expression is amazing.

@@darkySp Well said! Marcus Miller is a class act. He projects such poise, grace, and humility in his interviews. It's rare to find a musician so immensely gifted and simultaneously concerned about other people. He is one of the architects of music in generally, and contemporary jazz, specifically! He is definitely in his own musical lane! A rare breed! Thank you for your great comment! Blessings to you and all!😇

_BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK TO BUY SIRE let me tell you something - Marcus Miller is a legend indeed, he is the most inspire dude, as a bassist and as a person also - but small thing he really need to know earnestly - those Sire Bass guitar from Indonesia arriving to the client in an embarrassing shape, full of Defects all over the necks and bodies!, i have tried to get one of those bass guitar 3 times already but each time i had to send them back to Thomann's guitar with the worst client support ever

Marcus is a nice guy and a great musician. But the sire basses, even those with his name on it, sound like they were wound by 8-year olds in Bangladesh. If you want a good Marcus Miller signature bass, the Fender Made-in-Japan basses are the best, and worth the money.
