Recommended settings in any game ( Wot too ) are very high, but still even at the lowest graphics I have 0.5 fps... On very high graphics I have 0.5 fps too. There is absolutely no change between these

I really wish I could have a longer rendering distance. I know my computer can handle it. With maximum settings I get between 75 and 90 fps now, so a rendering distance of about twice of what is current should be obtainable. This might be locked on purpose though as it would give me an advantage for long distance shooting. I know it is a pain to deal with the game engine you are still using, but I highly recommend working on optimization. You have made great improvements over the years but I still fell like the game is the limiting factor and not my rig. I am sure lower end computers will be able to handle the better graphics settings with some more optimization. Opening up multi-core support was a major improvement, but it is still only duel-core capable.

It worked to be able to play my laptop without lag. There were a lot of sites that suggested crazy changes in computer. this was great because it was changing the game settings. It didn't seem to change the visual aspects of game.

Playing on PC and laptop with integrated Intel's graphics. On laptop, if I set everything at low settings, game runs very smooth between 60-100 FPS. If I just slightly increase one of settings that stresses graphic card, FPS drops a lot.

Nvidia GTX 650 lowest graphics settings and still only 40 fps, 15-20 fps in scope view. I run other games (war thunder, garry's mod, call of duty etc) above 60 fps constantly.

Brown Your CPU is the fault. I have the exact same CPU and from the last patch I get 60 constant FPS. But I deactivate shadows. They eat the most of your FPS.

Brown I have a HD 5670 which is weaker than your video card, i have an AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor which is not good at all (i'm willing to bet you have a better CPU also), a standard WD Sata 3 HDD and 8GB RAM. I run the game with almost all the settings to low or off, only a few to Medium/High/Maximum. My FPS are around 50 in average. I believe the problem is in your settings.

With that being said, your processor is clearly at fault, as stated by +SebitzuF. Try this: 1.) Ctrl + Shift + Esc (Task Manager) --> Right-click on 'WoT Client' --> 'Go to details' --> Right-click on the task again --> 'Set priority' --> 'High' (Never set to 'Realtime', as this might corrupt some system tasks.) 2.) Download _Razer Cortex_, a freeware which automatically lowers the priority of tasks (especially background tasks) that aren't in use of your system. www.razerzone.com/cortex 3.) Win + R --> Type in _%temp%_ --> Ctrl + A to select all folders & files --> Delete them all. (Temporary files) Now do the same (Win + R) but type in _prefetch_ --> Ctrl + A --> Delete. (Windows keeps track of the way your computer starts and which programs you commonly open. This gives you an instant boost but your next re-boot might be slowed down by a lot.) 4.) If your computer has an Intel processor, try to check if there's a turbo boost available to enable in your BIOS system (--> See how to enter your system's BIOS www.pcworld.com/article/241032/how_to_enter_your_pcs_bios.html). If so, this gives your processor a large boost of clocking speed. Most of the newer CPUs by Intel have a built-in turbo boost by at least 1GHz. _2.4GHz --> 3.6GHz_, which is the speed of a frickin' Intel i7 4790!

9.9 was a great update, my fps went up to 34-38 average. Then the micropatch came out and i'm getting 17-22 average. What the hell did that patch do? The game is stuttering a lot now, but I can't fathom why, I've lowered settings and can't stop it. Please fix it.

SRB CountryBall i recommend starting at minimum. If your computer can run more than 40-50 fps at this setting, you can turn some things up. With my computer (a garbage Dell All-in-one), i can't run at much more than 20-35 fps with just 100% 3D Render Resolution. Depending on how old your computer is (mine came out with the release of Windows 8), you can determine what settings to select. If I'm reading correctly, your computer came with Windows 10; you should be able to select a few more things than me. If you already figured this out mb

Yes, there have been improvements and upgrade. The big World engine has run its course. High time for a new one!

Striker977 The only difference between the two versions is that the HD version has the most detailed textures that take more space on your hard drive. There are only one model of each vehicle so it's simpler for us and the developers. The best textures roughly double the space required for each tank.

HD models of tanks are a different thing than HD/SD mode. Moreover, HD mode just adds better textures than SD, but lets models unchanged.

Those bushes, trees, leaves causes very low fps like 7-9 fps while hiding behind the bush and sniping :-( If those bush, leaves could be more transparent or remove while sniping then it is 100% possible to play in a very low spec PC without an external graphics card with 20-25 FPS easily. WG please don't avoid this request/suggestion please & also think about low end PC user. Need improvement of WoT

That was actually a really great video explanation. But the game has some very bad optimisation issues. There are games out there was far more advanced graphical technology that run far better on my PC than WoT does. I have a GTX 960 and an i7, 8GB of memory and even with all that WoT is still the game that runs the least stable on my system. I have around 80 to 50 FPS but it depends heavily on where I move the camera on certain maps. Nothing to do even with how many tanks are on screen or effects, just looking at an area on some maps lowers my FPS substantially down to 50. While yet other games like Battlefield and similar high quality visuals including also War Thunder, run far better and look far better, steady 60+ FPS.

Phenom II X6 1055T and GTX760, fps 30-35 with medium (almost same fps with low to max settings)... sometimes it dips even below 20. This doesnt make any sense. WoWS with maximum settings over 60 fps. Almost every other game gets 50-60 fps with high/very high or even ultra. I have installed game multiple times again to different locations and everything I just cant get my fps up :(

Casual G4mer Almost every game has supported atleast 2 cores for many years, for example Far Cry 4 doesnt even start if you have less than 4 cores. So WoT is stuck in like 2005 in cpu core support. 10 years behind... lol They are just focusing on putting more content to game to make more money but the game only can use 1 cpu core. I don't even know what to say :/

I'm getting around 50fps on medium settings with a Nvidia GT640 2gig, And my system's not that new. Specs: Intel Core Duo Quad 2.86Mhz. Nvidia GT640 2gig video. 4 gig ram. 500gig 7200 HDD. Nothing new there. So those with newer systems should be getting the same if not better with medium settings. GenFUBAR. 1AR, ASIA Server.
