One of my favorite places in the world is the rainforests of the Olympic Peninsula here in Washington State. It's filled with small moments of wonder and well and expansive wonders of towering trees. Thank you for sharing.

Kim, I'm a birder. And am only now learning about photography. When I go out in the field, most times I catch a glimpse of a bird and quickly raise my 500mm lens to get the shot. I come away from the field "thinking" I have seen the bird, but little do I know, I don't really see the bird until I look at the images I create. Who knew this little bird had a patch of yellow right by his eye? Or whiskers along his beak? We see things through photography that our split-second view of nature hardly ever captures. Thanks for this video!

Superb video, Kim. A delightful mix of beautiful images, gentle music, and your inspirational connection with nature. Sometimes we can be a bit quick to head home when the weather turns, but perhaps we should embrace it and enlighten our senses and minds to its richness.

Herb Robert is the little purple flower at the beginning. I used to wonder what you were talking about with connecting with the subject etc.. yesterday I went out to photograph butterflies. I found myself just standing in the nettles watching them.. took some of my best butterfly image’s yesterday.

Hi Kim - I've been following you for a few years now and seen you grow as a photography as you move away from simply being the lighthouse photographer, to grow into an advocate of nature and appreciate all that is wonderful about it, showing us the importance of enjoying and embracing the journey of creating images - an aspect of life that I too am embracing - Thank You 😊 Stu PS Can I ask please what the piece of music is you used in this video as it's beautiful!!
@kimgrantphotography Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words Stu! Appreciate the continued support and kind words. Oh - I'll need to relook at the edit to find the name of the music. Will see if I can find the name for you

These little cranesbills always were a favourite flower of mine! It's funny, over the last years my photography has become a bit more landscape-y, slightly less focussed on the details, you're now "coming from the other side".
