Are the 'pop' tones articulated with the diaphragm?

There's not really much more to it. Just keep working on it. Let the air leak out through the lips rather than forcing it out. Focus on the "whisper" aspect and you'll get there. How do you whisper your voice? Similar concept on the trumpet.

Would you suggest starting a practice session beginning with whisper tones on the mp? Just barely getting the tone going but perfectly clear?

My lips start to vibrate when I start the whisper tone..How do I provint that from happening ?

Great video, Brian! I'm trying to change my whole approach to trumpet playing (as I realised my former approach was completely inefficient). Would these exercise aid in retraining the air direction? I used to blow very far down in the cup and now trying to blow through into the middle and release the pressure on the top lip
