Interesting. This is the same principle as the wing chun punch and 'structured' stance.

So in the Systema technical methodology you are just using the motion of the arm appendage with no central body torso motion at all as the body just stabilizes the motion of the punching arm?
@MelbourneSystema3 жыл бұрын
In this drill we are just isolating arm motion. Yes you can also add body rotation as well

@@MelbourneSystema I thought the whole idea of the Systema punch was only use arm momentum because using the body mass off balances the body so the arm appendage has more velocity potential if the body torso remains motionless during the execution of the Systema punch. There are a small group of golfers now who don't rotate their body cores in the execution of the golf swing. They defy conventional bio-mechanical methodology by keeping their core torsos motionless and only using arm rotational motion. No one has publicly endorsed them and scientists have been censored for confirming any credibility of the technique but if you consider stabilizing a fulcrum the lever could potentially move faster. I like using body rotation in my punches, strikes, and kicks. I in no way ascribe to the appendage only striking methods. I'm just making people cognizant and aware that some people are doing things unconventionally.

@@TonyqTNT "pull from the back" is something all systema teachers say when it comes to striking, do you know what they mean? Could you explain it, cuz it seems you got a grip on physics and anatomy.

@@TonyqTNT Interesting. If you bop someone in the nose with an arm only punch, that's probably all you need to get the job done.

On the right ideas but execution and method are completely awful.
