That time of year, Dani. Looks like you're gonna get a whole buncha rain here coming up in the coming days and we're looking perhaps wind and surge at least on the West coast here in FL somewhere. The further West this thing gets of course, the better (at least for the peninsula of FL). Right now there's quite a bit of shear just North of the Cayman's BUT is that gonna persist? This could be really nasty once it gets into the gulf so the less organized it is when it gets there the better. However this ain't looking good AT ALL for the panhandle because there's absolutely NO SHEAR in the gulf at this time. Reminds me of Michael smacking Mexico City as a Cat5 a few years back. Lastly a concern is how fast is this gonna be moving? Yeah the slower, the nastier its gonna get because those waters in the gulf are probably the warmest on the planet right now. Be safe as of course your concern on this one is mudslides. We don't care about rain where I'm at here in West Palm but straight line winds are a major concern.
