I'm sure your absolutely correct re: difficulties operating in Africa. But, I'm certain Charles has an excellent grasp on the realities of enabling the un-banked Human Capital there. I think we need to fully get behind and support him in his endeavors for many good reasons, and... before the Chinese get in too deep. :)

i've heard a few interviews with him and he seems to be conscious of the unique challenges that Africa presents and how to best meet those challenges. e.g., he understands that he must empower Africans who then become proponents of Cardano & DeFi, like a grassroots approach based on relationships, as opposed to achieving mass adoption from the top down.
@tonyvu20113 жыл бұрын
Africa was actually ahead in mobile payment with phones so you could be wrong here. Africa skipped the copper and wired internet and jumped straight to 3G/4G wireless internet, so I believe that Africa can do it again with DeFi. I've met many young Africans from Ethiopia, Rwanda and I'm extremely impressed with their intelligence and world knowledge, especially about cryptography and blockchain technologies.

Charles Hoskins point on a cooperative is very important. From my experience of being involved with a dairy cooperative here in Ireland the cooperative has brought a lot of wealth to the farmers that produced the milk. Through the coop the farmers kept control of their product and most important the coop eventually became a public traded company that through innovation has generated enormous wealth through share value in the company. I'm talking a couple of million in share value per farmer for those that were involved at the start. The beef sector never formed a cooperative and the beef industry ended up being owned by a handful of billionaires. Because I understand the value in a cooperative I am an early investor in Ada and have put it into a stake pool. I believe what Mr.Hoskins is talking about here this is beyond huge. It is going to grow so fast. The prosperity it is going to bring to the countries that adopt it is going to be a revolution.

He said he will go to those places as well as Eastern Europe then get the rest of Europe involved then the rest id the world will fallow. His starting in Africa because he believes it has a lot of potential there and there's way less regulations there right now. Personally I think he should start a in South America or Eastern Europe were IQ is much higher. The other reason I think he should start off in Eastern Europe or South America is the fact that China doesn't have the reach there at all. Right now China has a lot of influence and reach and ownership in Africa so he's kind of wrong that Africa is a free-for-all place for crypto because China is already taking big chunks of Africa is already doing a lot of regulations there.

Just opt out of the banksters network(s). This reminds me of 2000's Napster vs Metallica and the beginning of the end of monetized recorded music as we knew it. Old School Banksters just don't understand that in today's world, any 12 year old kid can write and deploy a worldwide bitCoin like defi AMM network. The IMF bankster effort to keep control of money is similar to what happened when mp3 music files and pier to pier (p2p) file transfer via Napster program came along. The Corporate Bankster Music Moguls and Superstar Band Thugs thought they could just destroy Napster and sue a few moms and kids then create their own music download sites to keep control of digital music and continue to generate money for themselves... emmm no... a million teenagers wrote and deployed their own p2p file (mp3) sharing programs... the Bankster Music Moguls and Superstar Thug Bands completely lost control of their hold on the value of recorded music. Now recorded music is considered to be only an advertisement or teaser for the bands real money generator, Ironically, non digital merchandise and live concerts… oh yeah, during this time of covid bands can’t even play live concerts to generate money… I see these old school Bankers as being in the same position as the Bankster Music Moguls and Superstar Thug Bands of 2000 were in with Napster vs Metallica. I’m really enjoying this! Maybe the IMF should be thinking of non digital merchandise and live concerts to make their money... that's literally going to be their only option short of world wide martial law.
