Dr. Anna Waismeyer, a postdoctoral researcher at I-LABS, explains her research examining how children learn from observing cause-and-effect relationships even when those relationships aren't perfect. In this video summary of her work, she shows how children learn to choose the better "bet" after watching an adult play a game with two imperfect options. Learn more about these findings in a news story on the I-LABS website: ilabs.washingto...
This video was part of a contest sponsored by the National Science Foundation, who funded the work. The contest was called the 2015 NSF Teaching & Learning Showcase and exhibited videos of innovative research whose purpose is to improve science, math, engineering and computer science education.
