Crank - crank mechanism (CSR) - designed to convert the reciprocating - translational motion of the piston into rotational motion and vice versa.
Consists of two groups of parts; The first group of fixed parts - the cylinder block, liner, cylinder head, crater pan. The second group of moving parts - piston, piston rings, piston pin, connecting rod, plain bearings (liners), crankshaft, flywheel.
The cylinder block is the basic part with which the engine equipment starts. The blocks are cast from gray iron (VAZ, ZIL, KAMAZ) or aluminum alloy (GAS).
In the cylinder block there are openings for installation in which the sleeves are formed in the cylinders. In the upper part there are two milled platforms for installation of the head. In front of the unit, attach the gear distributor cap to the rear of the clutch housing. The boat pallet is connected to the bottom of the unit.
The plane of the connector block and pallet can pass along the axis of the crankshaft or below. Inside the block there are cavities for the coolant (water jacket) and for the oil (the main oily line) in the lower part of the block there are partitions with removable covers where the crankshaft is laid. The side of the front of each cylinder can be installed plugs. Sleeves divided into dry and wet. To seal the liner of the upper part, a projection of 0.02-0.1 mm is left. At the bottom of the liner, two rubber rings (ZIL, KAMAZ, YaMZ) or brass rings can be installed.
