That is a trait of Magellan not the fruit. The venom venom fruit makes you immune to poison unless you eat it. Magellan likes to flavor his food with poison and as a result spends 10 hours a day on the toilet. As long as you don’t eat your poison you don’t have this problem.

I actually googled this bc I remembered it was a Magellan thing but thought he was doing it to make the fruit work better; according to the wiki it’s been hinted that he’s agoraphobic and in the huge, empty halls of Impel Down he’s really uncomfortable so he eats poisoned food and gets diarrhea to have an excuse to stay in a small toilet. It really depends on if we are talking eating it in the real world or the one piece world. In the real world unless you are going the super villain route it really isn't that helpful. But yeah in the one piece world, it would be a good one to consider, tho I will still take nearly any true Logia fruit over this one.
