Man, now if you realize... dantes battle themes wer always like rock and rollgoing for the moment but his pause theme (Divinity statue theme) goes like as u said, self questioning like if dante would be in a hard moment of his life, and now if you think about it this was one of the hardest chapters in dante's life for hwat he had to do to vergil and what did that mean on wards.

I rate it 9.9/10. I love it the game. I have been admiring dmc3 and dante since i'm a 3 year old kid, now im 14 and got the HD collection just to play dmc3 today, or yesterday at 4pm, today is 12:10am. i liked the game. I thought i was just like: "oh it looks cool, dante and dmc3 looks good" even though i have been all my life admiring it, i was insecure about buying it or not. But i bought it, and had fun. I played like 5 hours no stop, i liked the story, i would like to know what happens with Dante, and i liked the gameplay, its fun to push enemys to the air and push them back to the floor again. I like the movement of it, i hope i will have fun with it because i admire dmc series and capcom. Specially dmc3..

As a guy who literally spent countless hours of dmc3 I can say that it's... a god tier game, so perfect and iconic But there are some Negatives Like the Limitation of carrying weapons and changing styles with dante Or some shi* bosses like arkham and doppelgänger

Devil May Cry (1,2,3,4) divinty statues themes, how they make me feel: 1) There's sand all around you and huge undefined walls casting shadow all over reaching for limitless peaks, it's warm and you're sweating you can't understand what's going; it's dark and light comes only from above in the distance. Looking around and seeing only the darkness with dim golden light just to find out there's nothing left to do if not only to start thinking about your sins that could have brought you in this terrible place and wait for death. 2) You're standing with many others wich are singing this beautiful ancient pray that echoes inside a big dark church full of light coming from colorful cathedral windows. you feel in peace you feel filled with greater meaning you listen carefully and hope it never ends. 3) You're walking slowly alone on a long bloody path, experiencing lot of suffering and struggle maybe for a greater goal at the end, you feel weak but you keep on walking nevertheless. You feel amazed by how strong is your will to continue, a costant pain that makes you sure it'snot the end yet, you'll wait untill death unleashes your soul giving you peace. How beautiful is to live now and to suffer to reach just one second more before your last breath... but you keep walking untill only naked bones will remain of your feet first, your knees than and at the end only the bones of your hands. You won't stop until you have given everything you can physically and mentally give. 4) you're on your dying bed, you're old and you're thinking back to your life about things you could have done, the melancholy fills your heart and your memories too... you know there's no more time left you accept your miserable and senseless life with sadness and a bit of regret... you change position and close your eyes laying on the bed peacfully. Softly and lightin your souls you feel its getting to you... the quite relief of death that ends all the negative thoughts and worries in your troubled mind. End.

Dmc1 completely emphasizes the claustrophobia of the walls around you, dmc3 speaks the ending for you. When you first hear it you're like why is this song so sad when the game is badass, it isnt till you finish the game that you see the statue song is a manifestion of Dante's inner thoughts

If you're talking about the opening cutscene, it's called "prologue". Just search "DMC3 Prologue", and you should find it just fine. If you're talking about the actual battle itself, it's called "The Encounter"
