True. I love the demonic forms of Dante and Vergil, but I wish we could have had a normal Devil Trigger form for Vergil (the devs did make an artwork for Devil Trigger Vergil but it was scrapped)

I wouldn't mind it so much if Vergil's sin devil trigger looked better. Maybe some people like it, but I think it looks a little bit ridiculous with the demonic exhaust tips coming out of his head 😮‍💨

@@shanewright344 I love most of Vergil's Sin Devil Trigger but I agree with you on that, I'd replace the exhaust tips with the horns of Cerebrus or Agni and Rudra.

It's madness that DMC 3(a PS2 game released in 2005) has such clean and pristine weapon sound effects. Yamato and FE are so satisfying to use here rather than the later games where they don't feel crunchy. Don't even get me started on that sweet Judgement Cut.

You're right. It has something to do with them trying to make Vergil more flashy to attract new audience. Some moves don't fit his character at all such as Yamato Combo C (million slash), Roulette spin, the new Rapid Slash has a long sheathing animation, Million Stab, the new judgment cut. Etc. Also uppercut is fine but they shouldn't have replaced Rising Sun..

I wish the jc visuals and sound in dmc 5 was indigo rather than cyan and has that chime sound, it's way better looking + sounding and fits the character better

3 is more calm composed, graceful. 4 is more brash and rough. FE combo is one of many examples. Yes, 3 moveset was slightly limited, but give him new moves don't recycle everything from Dante. And hell, Nero (Roulette spin) and frickin DmC......

3 is better judgement cut because it doesn't just cut the dimesion's but also distort space........ its a perfect cut with a katana

In my opinion Devil May Cry 4 air trick was visually weird because before the air trick executed the enemy somehow must be marked with summoned sword. Good thing it fixed on 5. So... Air trick on this comparison, 3 is better than 4, Edit: also all the Force Edge moveset 3 is better, while 4 just Yamato magically teleport into Vergil's left hand...

Well first of all The force edge combo shown here for comparison you can clearly tell in both Yamato doesn't magically teleport into his hand and that he actually draws it from the sheath from his hip since it can be attached to his hip. However Vergil does have other moves where he suddenly has it in his hand and the reason is that he moves so fast that it looks like its teleporting to his hand much like Yamato combo C or when he slides back to do judgment cut after a yamato move. When he does judgment cut he actually pulls yamato out and slashes the air and then slides it back in however it looks like he pulls it out and puts it back in. Just an example of his speed.

Air trick is better in 4 since it allows you to cancel any attack and has far better range.

Air trick in 4 and 5 work exactly the same way, you have to embed a sword illusion or whatever in both games Yamato is never in vergil's left hand while unsheathed So In comparison, dmc4 air trick is better than both 3 cs it's got a long range and it's better than 5 because it actually teleports you faster

Well thats the point, the Sin DTs represent their full devilish powers, which why their design not so man oriented/full demonic form In 5 vergil has his standart DT concept art but with a little changes, but most importantly just like dante it has human face But SDT its a different story
