Everywhere i go about DMC trailers, combo's or something similar, ppl speak about Donguri. (Like - Donguri difficulty or a "god Donguri can do better") I can see Donguri as most experienced combo maker. Not only in DMC, but also in other games, such NieR or Tales Of series. But i also met others combo makers and they doing their good/excellent job too. Hard to say why ppl attached to Donguri. Maybe Donguri doing much better combos? Or maybe there is other reasons? To be honest, i don't care. As long as there exist many ppl who can create their own combo's and wishes to share with everyone, that's most cherish thing in the community. I'm not good at making any combo's, but i like for getting the ideas from others. Like, i saw how 1 person fought Vergil using right equpment and it's worked. (And it was not Donguri) I'm watching him, and i'm amazed. Same with other combo makers. Maybe if Donguri can go co-op with others, it might be good to see how he will fight with them. But it's his decision and his own. So let's leave it at that.

There's no competition. Or at least not a negative one, we enjoy seeing the new things that we see, and we're like "damn, I can't fall behind, gotta do better than before". However, some crappy "fans" just go and spread negativity, which ended up Donguri having to talk about it himself. When people just go and tell you that "f*ck you and every other Donguri wannabe out there" (I legit had this), or "this is not better than Donguri"-type of comments on whoever posts a Combo MAD (not to mention they don't know shit but that's not the point), it pisses us off and at some point we voice the concern. Donguri deserves his views and no one would say the contrary, but us other guys getting downvoted or outrightly ignored when his name isn't brought up when posting a video somewhere is something that should NOT happen. We reached a point where people do not care about a video if it's not from their "God", and that hurts not only him but also every other combo creator out there. THIS is the concern, not competitivity. As far as I'm concerned, we're all in very good terms and friendly with each other. Which means that provided there even is some form of competitivity, it would be a drive to get better, a sane type of """"rivalry"""" that only brings out everyone's best. Not to mention anything else than this would be inappropriate since it is a single-player game. :/

It's no reason to compare all these amazing gamers, as long as their having fun Also, as a big fan if V, im sad it's seems like V doesn't have any real Combo Mad potential. What's worse, we may not see this style of gameplay in DMC again so we may never know the full extent the whole Devil Summoner gameplay in DMC. Thanks for the kind words, Donguri. My take on this is that we cannot help much about this either. While we can "educate" players, most of them will remain clueless about what's actually going on the screen, and they'll just get impressed by the most flashy thing even if it ends up being pretty basic. Flying Guard was a good example of that, it was easy to perform (difficult to master in real time sure), but anyone who saw that would just stop there and not search further. I believe a lot of people would love Devil May Cry even more if they even took the care to dissect a couple of combos from other top-notch players to see how deep the stuff is, and sometimes how it incorporates the enemy's AI for completion. It's sad to say, but the most technical people won't be those who will be rewarded the most, nor getting the same amount of recognition. You already did your fair share of spotlight sharing with the collab video with me and numerous other great people. Though we have to accept that there will never be a perfect balance in recognition/acknowledgement, I believe the early era of Devil May Cry 5 is a right timing to try and correct a lot of things. I believe the rise of new players as well as your message is a good start to this. For these people who are interested in DMC4's player history, you guys should check out the mother of all Combo MADs : breatoal (and she's coming back!). Go and see Terminus. Go and see Taka & Kuma's Paradigm Shift. Go and see BlaNK & Sakaki's Next Stage videos, as well as Revolution. Go and see Ayu's Gerodi video. Try to understand what's going on, and how Devil May Cry 4 evolved in 11 years, and how these skillsets are transferred over DMC5 (or not). And try to stay aware of what's going on. Be curious. I can guarantee you this won't be a loss of time, you can only love Devil May Cry even more once you get how REAL deep the series are. Ultimately, we are partly pissed because people stay at one point, shit on us guys, but all we want and do while doing these combos, is sharing the love we have for this series, and they're as deep as the combos we are producing. Our videos are nothing but an invitation to further deepen your love for DMC. And for those who get the wrong idea: we do not fight against each other. We are (very) friendly between us, Donguri included. We are not competing with each other. Or if we do, it's a very sane and pure way of putting it, only pushing us to do better combos. It's not like we should go and get angry, it's a single-player game, after all. :')

As I watched your videos, I realized how different nero and dante is in combos. Dante is all about vertical and horizontal movements while nero's moves supports some moves that takes both ways. This is why probably nero's combos seem more chaotic while being easier. Dante needs more precision because you control him in only two dimensions.

@Adam J. Harper I can't really claim that others are better but that doesn't mean they are worse either, each person has their own style of playing. And I don't know whose videos you watched but backwards attacks are pretty common these days. Guard flying is debatable since it's mainly used in boss fights rather than combo videos and only Donguri really uploads a lot of boss fights. And it might look simple to you but a lot of those sequences that have no guard flying still involve way more complicated inputs than just jump+attack. Guard fly isn't the only hard tech out there.
