@Truesky44 Not really, you can see that he misses some perfectly timed parries and even misses a DRI. Also the Cerberus moveset isn't that hard to learn, not to mention if you are really good at DMC3, 4 and other character action games you just get used to the flow of those games.

@Truesky44 This level of gameplay isn't so insane that it seems cheated. Most people can royal guard the melee attacks pretty consistently. He didn't 100% perfect parry the AOE explosion and the combos were pretty normal for an experienced DMC player. I can't tell how it looks to someone unfamiliar but veterans tend to come up with strats to not waste time and deal damage effectively.

I fought cerburus several times using different styles and I believe royal guard to be the most practical. I found sword master and gunslinger u get hit a lot trying to do combos. Trickster works well but u don't get the damage from guard. I also found for some reason the charge shot with the with rocket launchers does more damage on him than the laser move even though in the void, it says the laser move does more.

Dantes charged guns aren'r that interesting so you can leave your button configuration at default. Players that play Dante for a long time are clawing their controllers, the provided link will show you what that means. At first it seems really stupid, but you get used to it and sometimes when I play other games I notice that I am automatically clawing the controller xD So don't be afraid to tryM

i tend to use mainly swordmaster and use balrog a lot because it's so much fun punching and kicking the crap out of demons...but i play like a total scrub. i guess not switching styles enough is a scrub mistake, but balrog is just. so. satisfying. every hit feels like it really makes an impact that the other devil arms can't. Balrog satisfies my primal violence boner. ifrit and beowulf were also fun, but also kinda frustrating because the actions are a little slow. i've died way too many times more than i care to count...whoops.

To answer your first question, I believe it is for ease of access to helm splitter (or whatever it is called) since it is a special command with DSDante, and it looks like that is the main use of the sword. Edit: he also uses Pop, which is a mid combo move for DSDante. DSDante is a great weapon but changes a lot of your options because the SM style have been worked into the normal kit and you have to work around it rather than with it.

Looks like some times player jump on purpose to perform block in air. - When boss changing elemental type and charging his AoE attack you blocking it two (at the middle and at the end) or one time (at the end)?

Jumping before the block helps keep timing tighter with vertical strikes. Perfect blocks in general the timing is when the strike has transitioned from wind-up to an actual full speed attack. Your input should go after that transition but before it lands. As for the explosions, one block, one dodge, then one prefect return. And he changes it up so damn man, listen for the snaps from the perfect block.

Jump gives I-frames, so if you mistime the block, you probably won't get hit. Proper jump guards are safe and effective against almost anything. It's not a problem even against Vergil's Judgement Cut End.

Things I noticed, he has a preference towards using a) helmsplit (which is back triangle on DSD rather than just triangle on DSS) and Pop (which is worked into a combo for DSD rather than style for DSS) I haven't personally tested damage of the 3 swords but I think it is just for people that want access to certain moves rather than summon swords

why the switch between Royal Guard and Trickster after every element transition? Does Cerberus always bite after changing element?

To my understanding: RG to block the elemental explosion, then trickster is used to move forward, making sure you're right in front of the boss (as the visibility is reduced), then switch back to RG and Release (damage)

What exactly is happening when KC changes elements? Jump cancelled RG block into Trickster Sky Dash (for I-frames) and then a Royal Release before the I-frames finish on the transformation AoE?
