Purely on the basis of the facts that each and every time Special Editions were made Vergil never ever received any type of unique content but the first and last cutscene by the end of his "campaign". Even when 4's Special Edition came out 7 years (!!!) after the original base game there was no effort put into giving Vergil any campaign of his own. I would've loved myself to be wrong, for DMC5 SE to *at the very least* have missions 19 (which would need to be renamed "Dante", then) and 20 to be flipped versions of the original boss fights. Mostly I would love that to happen because I genuinely hated the ending of DMC5 for how ballsless it was and seeing Vergil finally triumphing and ultimately annihilating the world, because that is some awesomely dark stuff one has to have balls to put into their game, so that gamers could be reminded that this here is not just a cutesy cool katana-weilding swordsman, but a powerhungry psychopath who doesn't care for your memes. But, again - that would mean for CAPCOM to input some extra effort. And there have been at least two games in this franchise before that showed us that they don't really care for that. I am but a realist who is capable of analyzing trends and making conclusions.

There likely won't be a special edition with these features. But, we are going to get Vergil as DLC. Still messed up considering Ampere just came out and that handles ray tracing exceptionally well and especially Dark Knight Mode. The mode looks so fun with how many enemies there are and is personally my favourite game mode from previous games. People have every right to be upset at this exclusivity at 4:30.

pretty sure they'll release a special edition port to pc, but not this year. most likely next year since i'm sure they wanted this game to be one of the main selling points of the next gen, being one of the games that will launch with it. but i agree, i wish it was a pc port.
